Seems like the author was running thin, rather have series on on a decent note like than continue to get worse.

Did he ever give an actual reason why he was ending the series??

Even tho things ended way to quickly, overall this manga is still fantastic. I am gonna miss reading it alot:S hopefully they do a re-make of the anime in the near future.

Thx Norihiro Yagi!

The Claymores don't give a shit about the mainland! They're done! And Irene is alive! Woohoo! I like this ending :)

Amazing manga 10/10 in my opinion.

LOL, why is everyone so pissed that the Main Continent wasn't relevant to the main story ? It was pretty obvious that it was never going anywhere and I'm glad it didn't.

I'm disappointed that Teresa came back or at least, I'm disappointed that the author didn't foreshadow it better. Pieta would've been the perfect opportunity to show case that Clare's quarter-Yoma nature actually makes her even more powerful and he could've hinted at Teresa's appearance there, instead of making it feel like a complete asspull.

Pretty enjoyable manga throughout. Art was a bit wonky in the beginning but really improved towards the end. The characters weren't exceptional but I liked all of them. Why even bring it up then?

Nothing feels concluded. The existence of the main continent just shifts the plot entirely and the author never delivered, what a waste.

The war still rages and what we all read was mostly for nothing.

That last arc was a scuffed Buu arc, and Buu arc wasn't great either.

This was one hell of a manga. Definitely gonna add it as my number 1. Loved all the characters that were good guys. Some villains I liked too like for example Isley, and etc.

I am prob one of the few that never thought of Raki as annoying.

ii have finaly read the 27th tome of claymore.

I'm a bit sad because the final scene ruined the character of claire ( and in fact every claymore ) to me:

In the end , priscillia wasn't beaten by current claymore but by a hero from the past ,without this " Deus ex machina " transformation everybody ( possibly even in the continent ? ) would have been exterminated by priscillia.

It's pure fan service and doesn't suit the whole series well to me.

I agree that the series goes downhill after the time leap, the enemie were too powerfull and the few last fights ( not only the one with cassandra priscillia and co ) was like watching misshapen mess fighting each other without real strategies and not wiith real sense of damage.

In the end it's still a great manga for a single reason : It's unique.

It's the perfect mix of a seinen and a shonen , simple, yet deep ,  story driven by the characters that make it enjoyable by every type of reader ( younger and older )

Thank you Norihiro Yagi for all these years of work on what can be considers one of the masterpiece of manga's Dark Fantasy .

nb : It's very unlikely that he do a series again ( he said himself that he is out of idea )

I liked the story until it turned into "Island is just a laboratory for a greater conflict" story. Not because it's a bad idea, but because he added elements that were just there to fill gaps. Mainland... So you are going to tell me Calymores don't care about what might happen to them if it reaches island? Villagers don't know? The people there are cut off? Ok let's assume that's the case, why was no claymore sent to battlefield to fight the Dragons? Or at least no one ever mentioned and life of most ended on the island. Why maintain such a charade on the Island when purpose was to create soldiers capable of dealing with Dragons on the mainland... Also Dragons? All mighy beasts that only grow stronger... What are their origins? Why does their flesh turn humans into beasts? Do they not show interest in those captured? It's just too much that needed to be explained in main series. So I won't be satisfied until I see sequel... Since main series is ofc finished. Side story or sequel in another time is not an option.

I am kind of sad that Teresa left again. It felt like asspull that Teresa came back, and i hardly understood how Clare and Teresa were communicating. The last scene with Clare turning into a kid crying was quite emotional.
