After Galatea desertion that role was taken by Renee who wasn't even near Galatea in that aspect, if the organization had someone else then they wouldn't allow Galatea live so long and disposed of her at the first signs of defiance.

I don't think that there was anyone who guessed correctly in how she'd "return" (or survive) to us though.
