Claymore Chapter 64 Discussion

Raphaela killed her sister Luciela...hard to she!!!!

Rafaela was hoping that enough of her older sister Luciela's human mind remained that they could Soul Link back up and try to hopefully undo Luciela's Awakening back into a Claymore from being an Abyssal One.



And Luciela's human mind did seem to return, with Abyssal One Luciela crying about/for her beloved younger sister Rafaela. Unfortunately, her Abyssal One/Yoma mind shortly took back over, causing Luciela to start talking about conquest and killing/finishing off Isley.



Realizing it was impossible to save (de-Awaken) Luciela, Rafaela then kills Luciela.



Yes, Rafaela hug-crushed Luciela to death (you can see the limp hand of Luciela, signaling she was killed).



But, read on to find out what else Rafaela did (AFTER killing Luciela) causing something to happen... *grins*

Incredible chapter, also loved the Teresa cameo we got

Heartbreaking chapter. I love how intelligent the creatures of the abyss are. Isley, for example, seems like he would be a pretty cool dude to chill with.

Not just have a cool awakened being appearance, Easley is also so powerful that could even force Luciela to run with her tail between her legs and only got that scratch in his face from their battle. However I feel bad for Luciela for having short life, was hoping to get more and know little further from her.



Edit: It seems I was mistaken, looks like Easley was on verge of death from this battle too.

Anyways, probably my favorite chapter(having in mind I'm reading the manga since the start of Pieta arc and what comes before I've seen in the anime), it was really catching my attention and dramatic, I didn't see this manga getting me so much immersed.



Raph is easily my favorite Claymore(it's official). Not only she's a strong-willed and determined character, but she's also Number 5(actually better) while never releasing her Yoma-energy. I love the "badass normals" in worlds of OP thrashers.

So what's next for rafaela? She killed her sister. Her sole purpoe to live.

She can just walk away and no one would find her since she can hide her yoma energy so well

This chapter was really hard to follow.

How did Rafaela kill Luciela?  Squeezed her to death?
