That kiss from Cid totally caught me off-guard. Anyway, I stopped watching the anime around episode 24 as I felt things were rushed and overlooked by a huge margin and started to read the manga from scratch.



So far, I can see why people have mentioned the manga was far more superior. I wish I started reading it first before watching the anime.

After watching the anime, and being completely unsatisfied with how it ended, I've taken up the manga which by many accounts is superior. So far, the anime has followed the manga to the letter until this chapter. 2 exceptions though; the first was a strange shaking of Clare's arm when she was trying to kill herself. The other was the kiss from Cid. Totally catched me unawares. And Clare barely reacts although Raki's jealousy is quite sweet.

Raki must spread real good on toast... because he's freaking JELLY. Haha he needs to get stronger and actually help Clare fight if he really wants her beyond just big sister. I wouldn't be upset if they just keep the bro/sis relation though, Raki is so much younger and smaller after all.
