Ookiku Furikabutte Chapter 1 Discussion

This was freaking awesome. The female manager is badass and the MC reminds me a bit of Eijun from Diamond no Ace for some reason. Really neat start and we got some baseball mechanics already.



So far, it seems the story has started.

I've already watched the anime so now I'm on the manga.



It's 10 out of 10 so far. I am loving it.

                        Grrr at that TL Note, "GW might not sound like much to lazy Americans but to Japanese it means a lot" . . . Implying that the Average Japanese Employee doesn't have two times the paid vacation that an American Employee has. Stupid incorrect stereotypes!



Anyways, now that I got that off of my chest, I don't know what to think of this series so far. It wasn't what I was expecting to say the least, figured the battery would be friends (they might still be) although the feeling I get from the beginning is more like a highly manipulative catcher although I am sure that will change as the series progresses. Also the main character is like the opposite of every pitcher I have come across before in Sports manga, although the fact that he A) seems to care about the team alot but B) Doesn't want to give up the mound, are sources of hope for a pretty solid character growth in a "positive" direction (i.e. not getting conceited yet gaining some confidence).
