Is it me, or was this chapter lime or what with how Natsu was able to defeat his brother so easy. I thought it would be so much better than that. With such thing as a guild fire or whatever. It was awful in my mind.

Yeah, this ending is anti climactic and I don't like it. However I knew zeref would be defeated like this. It was predictable hundreds of chapters ago.

Zeref is cursed with the curse of contradictions, making his entire existence a contradiction. He should be mortal, but he's immortal. The more he loves life, the more he takes it away. He wants his little brother to kill him, yet he wants to kill him.

Even his mind is contradicting itself.

So then how would he be killed? I didn't know exactly what shape it would take, but as soon as he took fairy heart it became obvious. When natsu attacked him he regenerated, showing that he has become immortal. However at the same time that was the first time in the entire series he was shown to have taken damage.

Before when natsu used igneel's power it did pretty much nothing to zeref, this time it obliterated his entire body.

He had actually become immortal. So with the curse of contradictions, he who should be immortal, is mortal.

At least that's how I would try and explain this ending... doesn't make it any less anti-climactic though. Especially for acnologia ^^

i think Mashima-sensei should just find a really good writer, collaborate with that person to save him from this humiliation, Done. Do it, Mashima-sensei! Do it!

I like your art style but your storytelling is like a junior highschool student's essay. God.

This argument is dumb. Hiro Mashima has explained in several interviews that he´s a mood dependant author. He values his freedom more than anything else and wants to draw what he feels like.

He simply wouldn´t work as a collaborator and as long as his shit sells he´s fine.

There is also the fact that he throws out chapters like no other weekly author and his assistants apparently love the guy.

Probably because he´s paying and treating them well, playing videogames and watching Movies with them.

For comparision, look no further than Mitsutoshi, the author of Toriko who quit his Manga. due to overwork and stress caused by the lack of assistants. This unoriginal piece of garbage certainly tells a whole other story about an author who only writes for the profit without a general target audience in mind.

Pretty much, but hey if you want to read it, go ahead, its  a waste of time in my opinion, and it might end up like FT, or not. But you don't miss on anything. Agreed with the last sentences.

I´m not interested in any new Manga or Anime period. I´ll watch and read whatever continuation I´m keeping up with and occasionally pick up an old classic, but that´s it for me.

Last time I genuinely got invested in an Anime while binging it was Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and that was around 2 years ago. Maybe My love Story. I can´t recall what I watched first.

Ichiya to save the day!

Uh, the fight felt too dull tbh and I'm not impressed by it at all. 10 chapters left to go. Personally, I think this has been the worst arc of the entire series so far.

Oh goodness. That couldn't have been done any more anticlimactically. I'm honestly impressed by how bad that was. Looks like those "Flames of Friendship" of this series will die out quietly.

There was a good reason that Natsu was named END Zeref has always wanted his brother to kill him and bring him peace

Ichiya and Anna sacrificed themselves, RIP.

Zeref and Acnologia were both defeated!
