Erza cheats death once again, but it was still kinda cool.

Irene's death was a little too sudden for my taste. It worked out, but her character could've been drawn out way more then it was. Although it's not that big of a loss, FT has more than enough villains turned good to last the rest of the series.

The one thing that got me was when Irene said she couldn't be slain. In my head I was like "Exactly! Nobody but a dragon slayer SHOULD be able to slay a dragon anyway. Not just for validation of dragon slayer magic, but because it would seem weird for a non dragon slayer to be known as a dragon slayer. That would be an annoying reputation for me to accept.".

Then Wendy starts to move.

I felt like Mashima trolled me...

Oh well, irritating as it was, it still made me chuckle. I HOPE NATSU GETS HIS S**T TOGETHER NEXT CHAPTER!!!!

Oh wow, this was so stupid.



It is absolutely fitting that Irene ends the chapter by killing herself. I'll just interpret it as she couldn't take the utter stupidity any longer and had to kill herself to get out of this story.



This was bad....this was really stupid. I like it when Erza wins in a way that makes some kind of sense. Let her find a weakness or the right combination of armor and weapons for a situation. But for a while now the story has just given up. Oh sure, somehow Erza can launch herself at a meteor and destroy it. And then somehow augment her aerial angle of attack to go and attack Irene. And then do a bunch of other things while having shattered bones.



If there was a 0/5 option this chapter would get it. Erza deserved better than this.

Fairy Tail a.k.a Because she's Erza at its best again~



Why did I expect a fairly decent end to a fight this time for no reason? XD

I just want to cry in the conclusion of their fight. What I like about Mashima is he really knows to connect one's character to another one without any contradiction. 4.5/5 .



What disappoints me was the enchanting. The slayers cant even scratch a dragon in the past. Plus the meteor. I think Mashima do not need to make erza state that the meteor is more powerful than Jellal's magic.





But overall, I think I like the fight.  Maybe because at the start, the two sides do not hesitate to kill each other. Especially Erza, until the end, she will defeat Eileen even if she stated that she is her mother, Which is nice.

This is chapter sucked so hard.

This chapter was a great example of how Mashima is too stingy of killing a main character and pulling a villain death with no reason! Irene herself doesn't know why she killed herself WTF?!??



First of!



ERZA STOPPED THE METEOR WHAT THE HECK!? This another BECAUSE SHE IS ERZA moment. Ugggghhhh

This was a great moment to kill her but nope this fairy tail where everyone leaves and nobody dies.



Irene killing herelf!! WHAAAAATTT!!!!???



She was one of the best villains and instead of defeating her in a good and badass way she kills herself!!!! I will definitely miss her. She was the only reasonable character in this arc.



The only thing that makes me happy is next week's chapter name. FINALLY!!! We will know what is going to happen to Natsu!

Soo it was possible to enchant ds magic into weapons, WHY she had not enchanced it for whole alvarez army , transformed into dragon and attacked acnologia? or she could had enchanced dragon slayng magic when she fought acnologia.

I don't know what to say about Erza and the meteor, I am not upset like other people probably are, I am not going to defend it either, it is what it is, all I have to say in defense is Erza better be the next guild master. After seeing what Erza did, her having to call anyone even the likes of Gildarts or Laxus master is laughable.



Anyway what I cared was the end with Irene, Irene she was the MVP of the chapter, I read Fairy Tail not only for the comedy, the lovely ladies, but also the emotion, if a chapter gives me feels I am happy, I got feels, I didn't think it was possible with Irene of all people.



I have a feeling her backstory was completely honest, in a way it was what Silver did during his fight with Gray saying he was Deleoria, only Silver out right lied, Irene stretched the truth or hide a few truths away, so she could fight Erza head on with no holding back and vice versa. And she might even have been lying to herself, because unlike Silver she was trying to win.



Though I first I thought maybe Zeref's magic caused to have some false memories, but I guess not.



Irene killing herself, I can live with that, I knew Erza wasn't going to kill her, Hiro wouldn't let Erza kill a demon in the Tartarus arc, he had Minerva do that for her and keep Erza's hands clean. Though I rather Achnologia come back to kill her right before she was going to tell Erza she loved her, that would be awesome, though I would give Erza reason to want to take down Acnologia, and we don't need that, let Natsu handle that.



It is a tell of 2 chapters, first half meh, second half great.
