Short review pointed out all the flaws that make this scene badly written.

There are a million ways to write the scene fanservice free and still provide a sense of threat for Natsu, while providing a "romantic" momment between the two protagonists.



It´s shoehorned and forced because all those other better options exist.  The  logic necessary to justify the scene is writing that´s mostly used in porn, for the delivery of, well  pornography.



I don't think he intended a 'romantic' scene with this one, its basic fanservice to please the shippers and people who like seeing Lucy naked.

Hence the "  " during my analysis. I 100% agree that it´s done partially for wish fullfillment, but I wanted to be creative with my wording and a little mean.



It's not mean, its a honest opinion. If Mashima would stop trying to please so many people, not saying this will be a masterpiece, but it would definitely be more enjoyable and interesting.

this Eileen is one that gave birth to dragon slayer magic, how interesting now I want to hear about the 400year part. About how she lived so long or how really old is erza or more importantly what are her true powers.
