Fairy Tail Chapter 500 Discussion

what a letdown..another one-shot and same formula, Juvia shown almost dead only to be alive again ,rinse and repeat , who next ? Tartaros is much better and I expect more of this arc..but this arc is even more dissappointing than previous standard arc

Well no surprise there that Juvia isn't dead. Would have been a much better development for Gray if She died.



At some point Gray would or could come up with same idea that made Zeref who he is now. An Immortal. Gray would focus on finding a way to bring Juvia back. He and Zeref would have many things in common and maybe even change his stance about END being evil incarnate and responsible for all the bad things that happened to him.



Better not develop a character, so he asks questions and has to consider non-asspull moral choices etc. because its all good, his stalker GF is all right.



Nice boob angle on Juvia and that colour page too. That's all the good things about FT now ^^

Well that was a underwhelming chapter for the 500th chapter milestone. Highlight of the chapter was the last page revealing to Gray who E.N.D was.

Gray has had the most death surrounding him through the series, so I thought maybe, JUST MAYBE... but no. Fuck you Mashimata, fuck you.



Jellal's 'death' took more or less 50ish chapters

Aquarius 'death' took more or less 30ish chapters

Gajeel 'death' took 5 chapters

Juvia death took a friggin chapter

Next 'death' not even a chapter probably



At least the ending was good.

I felt this fight was actually the best or the second best in this arc, yet it is still average lmao.

I couldn't be happier that Juvia is alive and I really don't care about the hate. There will always be people who complain, if you don't like it just stop reading it!

To the chapter now, I think it was really good and we can anticipate some good battles, Dimaria vs Brandish will be fierce! Gray completely annihilated Invel (the power of emotions is probably immeasurable)  He didn't let darkness consume him too, he wanted to avenge Juvia.

I still believe that Juvia won't find Gray till later, when the Gray vs Natsu happen. He will have the darkness consume him and then Juvia will stop him and show him that END isn't responsible for all the losses in his life.

Natsu was fierce too and I can't wait to fight what's the connection between Erza and Eileen. Probably mother and daughter but why the hate. I don't know how things will turn out but now Mavis is probably safe. I don't think Eileen managed to get Fairy Heart in time. We'll see about that, hopefully Mavis is fine and we'll see a counterattack against Eileen of maybe Zeref!

PS: Mashima actually didn't kill Juvia off, he gave as a bait and we actually believed it. He just made her lose consciousness due to immense blood loss and this is totally plausible. She didn't harm her heart, she pierced her ribs as well so she COULD HAVE DIED from blood loss if Wendy hadn't found her. Mahima made the chapter overly dramatic to lure the readers to the all fake death thing. That's what Gray believed that she died because he didn't even check her pulse, he just held her close. If Gajeel's and Mirajane's "deaths" hadn't happened it could have more impact as a scene, the way Juvia is saved but that doesn't mean it's a lame way or she should stay dead. Just enjoy the damn thing for what it is.

One more thing I'd like to add to my post is that this was a milestone chapter, so I was expecting more but then this arc has been underwhelming so far so I'm not surprised.

I wonder why I am still reading Fairy Tail. Maybe for the ass and tits!!! I'll give this chapter a 4 out of 5 because of Brandish's cameltoe and Lucy's tits.

Gray's part was great, Natsu's  was meh, Juvia's was "this shit again?" and the ending was ok



HAHAHA I Juvia's reaction herself was probably "meh, this shit again"



But then again, I understand why people look down on Fairy Tail and it's extremely predictable and corny- I still gotta say FT's still (one of) my fav animes out there. IDK man I guess some of us are just too attached to the characters. Not to mention Mashima Kyun himself cos he still can't kill his main/supporting characters without bringing it back.

I liked the convo between Natsu and Brandish, especially the part when Brandish said she wouldn't betray her country (I would seriously hate a heel-face turn on her part)... but the rest was shit...



Like the greatly hyped Invel vs Gray ends up being just making the Invel a punching bag for the whole fight, next we go to a supposedly stronger Historia only for him to be defeated by a one shot from Natsu, then we find out Juvia still lives even though the chain was broken, which should only break if one of them died...



Really weak chapter

Congrats for the 500th chapter Mashima,but it was completely underwhelming.How did the locks break if Juvia had just passed out?We already knew she wouldn't stay dead and revived somehow,but that's ridiculous.Gray vs Invel was good,Gray used the same trick during Sun Village arc against Doriate with ice devil magic back then.Natsu vs Neinhart was plain stupid another one-shot with nakama speech.At least now Gray knows END's true identity.
