Nice chapter. But funny how I didn't feel anything when I saw Juvia's sacrifice.

Might be because I'm 95% sure she will be alive & kicking the enemies' butts within the next 3 chapters... Unless Mashima finally decides to step up & make things more interesting by not bringing her back. That, honestly, would get my hopes up a bit more but again, I'm extremely doubtful she'll kick the bucket for good.

Invel about to be spanked by Gray's wrath. RIP

4/5

Given Hiro Mashima´s history with Fairy Tail it´s highly unlikely that Juvia will stay dead. Although the chapter is clearly  a reference to Musica and Reina, even down to the panel-work with the link between them, the beautiful page-spread panel with the male crying tears of sorrow to contrast the feelings of the female who willingly gave her life away for her beloved one.

I gave this chapter a 5/5, even if a resurrection happens, which I´m almost certain of, this particular chapter keeps it´s quality.

We received a lot of character development for Juvia & a little bit for Gray.

Both characters had uttered passion & love for their comrades, as well as an unwillingness to harm them. Both preferring to harm themselves for the well being of mentioned comrades. In the case of Gray even to the point of dying if necessary. Although his character development rises and falls with the reasons for the motivation to use Ice Shell against Deliora. Therefore his character development can be seen either as little or a lot. Furthermore he´s the one who received a power up which is development on it´s own.

Given all this input, it was a good chapter that´ll remain meaningful regardless of future developments.

Except Reina stayed dead :P

Hiro already pulled Musica and Reina with Gajeel's death, now it's getting stale.

You're right, Grey got -ve development now. All his development with valuing his own life went down the drain. He just spat on the sacrifice of Ul, Ultear and Silver, as well as the development that Natsu gave him. Fuck, Grey was in my top 10 FT characters, not anymore after this

Lol, he didn't spat on any sacrifice those characters made for Gray. They would've been proud of Gray if they saw what he did for Juvia. Infact they would shed tears for him.

He attempted to suicide because he would rather move on living with his girl than without her. This is simply what couples do. Infact Gajeel would've done the same damn thing.

Your hate on for Juvia is making you blind to that. This made me like Gray even more because he brought in something new to the table. Dropping him off your fav list is just retarded tbh

I'll talk about the chapter later but this is something that I had to reply to first.

No, they sacrificed so that Grey could live on.

Grey attempting to commit suicide means that he doesn't value his life anymore, which many people sacrificed to maintain, that's disrespect to them.

So if your lover dies, you've got to suicide too? BS. You've got to live for their sake and for the sake of other people who care about you, and for your own damn sake cause you live only once. And like I said, this is pure disrespect to all the people who sacrificed their life so that Grey could live. Take you twisted philosophy outta here. And no, this has got nothing to do with Juvia, I'm talking about Grey not Juvia here.

If anything,  major part of his charcter development was realizing that his life is precious and he should NEVER let it go, and protect it at all costs.

By the way, Grey was always rejecting her thirsty obsessive ASS time and time again, this ship is forced AF.

It means that Gray cares more about Juvia's well being than his own life. That's the sign of a true gentleman. and you're kind of forgetting the fact that Gray isn't fully control of his body considering Ice Lock.

Juvia is a source of Gray's happiness, and it was only Ul that gave up her life (

Silver was already dead.), and you know why? for Gray to be happy. Since Juvia is Gray's source of happiness, it would make sense to take away the life if there is no happiness.

Gray is not a fucking emotionless robot. That he can live on with every girl and precious family member associated with him dying all around him and smile after that.  I mean he was this mentally strong to still live on before. Juvia's the last straw.

I mean would it make sense for Gray's character to kill Juvia? and be fine with it? Think about it for a fucking second.

Last panel reminded me of how badass Gray is. Fucking boss standing there not giving a shit with a open wound on his lower abdomen, about to kick some ass.

So, out of all the people currently alive in the FT verse only Juvia cares about him?

What about the rest of the member of FT, they dont't care about him or wont be sad if he dies?

What about the lesson he got from Natsu in Galuna arc?

What about Ultear who gave up her life?

What about UL?

HE can have happiness ONLY with Juvia? BS. Multiple people cares and loves him with all their heart, they have fun and share emotions together

Grey can't value his life after the MAJORITY of his development involved in teaching him NOT to throw away his life, and his life is precious AF?

Think for a fucking second before you come up with any more fodder arguments.

Are you daft? Where did I say that only Juvia cares about him. Every one does, you don't seem to understand that Juvia has a very special connection and deepness to his heart. It was only Juvia that Gray was willing to share his feelings for her. How can you not see that?

Yes, they would be damn sad as fuck, but you can't seem to comprehend that Mashima is simply pushing Gruvia forward to a  point that Gray is willing to die if it means Juvia lives. That's called a sacrifice

The lesson he got is completely different considering given the situation he is fighting his potential loved one to the death in contrast to killing himself for revenge. Two different scenarios there.

Ultear gave up her life for everyone, and for time to be pushed back. It wasn't for Gray. She only thanked Gray for curing her darkness.

I already expanded on Ul here. Re-read next time you want to bitch as usual.

Juvia is a source of Gray's happiness, and it was only Ul that gave up her life (

Silver was already dead.), and you know why? for Gray to be happy. Since Juvia is Gray's source of happiness, it would make sense to take away the life if there is no happiness. Ul would definitely would be proud of him.

Think for a fucking second before you berate Juvia as usual and spout more nonsense along the way.

Grey ALWAYS kept rejecting Juvia, you're right Gruvia is PUSHED by Hiro down our throats. Grey doesn't like Juvia as a lover, only as a comrade. It's literally the most forced ship in FT

So her bond with him by 1 year >>>>> the bond he shared with Natsu and Erza who were there for him for 8+ years? Well, you're smart for sure

I mentioned Ul, Ultear and Silver cause none of what you said made no sense LMAO, you're spouting BS. My point still stands.

Juiva is source Grey's happiness? Damn you're making this too easy. Grey's happiness is the entire FT guild, not Juvia alone. Don't say Grey wasn't happy before Juvia forced her way into his life. You're dreaming too much just like the shipper girls, wake up. He was perfectly all right bickering with Natsu and playing with his guildmates.

So Grey would be sad FOREVER if Juvia died? GTFOH, he'll be back to normal in a few weeks at most LMFAO. Ohh my, if Juvia dies Grey will be sad forever with no hopes of happiness EVER in his life..........awwww.

Debunking your fodder arguments is just too damn easy, next time don't reply cause only BS and fantacies come outta your replies. Now hold this L and run

It was a great chapter, don't get me wrong, I know Juvia is coming back, I mean Hiro couldn't kill off Makarov, Makarov, if Hiro pulled the trigger on that, I might feel more emotional in this chapter and believe Juvia is gone, but it what is it is.

Not only is Juvia coming back, I know exactly when she is coming back. When Gray trying to kill Natsu and gone completely insane, that is when Juvia will be revived just does something awful.

We almost had a Romeo and Juliet moment, I guess Juvia saw it coming, so she took precaution to save Gray.

Invel's plan backfired, he wanted Gray to be his puppet and take down E.N.D. for him, well now he just pissed me off, Gray might still go after E.N.D., but he is going to kill Invel first. I don't know if Invel cares, he seems like one of those die for the cause characters. He might not ever put up a fight.

Anyway Juvia is not gone for good, she is one of the popular characters, she one of the main girls in the Fairy Girls series, the only one that is not part of the main team that made the cut. So it doesn't make financial sense to kill her off, yet Makarov lives.

I enjoyed the chapter but I'd like to point out something.

I know everyone's complaining about how the whole blood transfusion magic came out of nowhere but I have a bigger problem; how can a blood transfusion fix the fact that Gray had a HOLE in his stomach? He stabbed himself, didn't he? For some reason, in anime/manga, gaping holes don't seem to matter much.

Maybe the surrounding of water and ice closed the gap. Gray has shown to freeze his wounds. He had a gap in his battle with Ultear and lost blood suffering cuts and even splitted half of his own abdomen to create Blood make SLice dance formation..so it was sign of Gray being durable enough to move on. Same shit applies here. Increasement of MP helps.

Impressive. I felt nothing ...

But it's Mashima's fault for

- Making Juvia a 0 dimension character. All she has been doing for 400 chapters is saying "Gray samaaaaa"

- Playing too much with fake death
