Been a while and I change my mind on a lot of things... including how I felt about FT (still enjoy it tho). The thing is, its just normal ice, that's it, nothing to it, other abillities and magics he used made somewhat sense, this one doesn't.

There could've been hints about this, about Juvia learning something blood related, maybe I am just nitpicking, but a mention of some sort it would've been nice. And to end, no not really if it was Natsu and Lucy and some stuff did not make sense, I would point them out. Look at Gajeel's farewell to Levy, beautiful, pissed how he was brought back, did it make sense? I am not sure, not really?

Honestly getting mad at lack of details in Shounen isn´t worth the effort, especially not with Fairy Tail.

If I wanted I could point out how retarded the situation was to begin with because it only lead to this because Brandish just grabbed Natsu & Lucy in her giant form and walked off without any significant resistance. Power scaling was yet again ignored for the sake of plot progression. Natsu who could onehit some giant beast apparently cannot fight back against Brandish, but that I´ve already considered in my rating.

All I´m saying is, we should n´t be surprised if Fairy Tail does Fairy Tail stuff that it used to do since it´s first arc. The Ice Magic is not a new concept and the reasoning for Juvias Deus ex machina fits her character. I don´t say that its not a deus ex machina, it is, but it´s within the realms of reason to expect such a "trump card" from her character and given the infinite possibilities magic has it´s within Hiro´s options. One Piece more often than not utilizes similar writing tools. From a chapter ranking standpoint I can openly admit that FT took the cake by far beating NNT,Toriko,MHA & One Piece.

I felt nothing for Taizai, Toriko continued it´s dick measuring contest,MHA was pretty much setup & One Piece although it had an above average chapter wasn´t amazing and made me question the power scaling that seems to just have been tilted once again.

I'm bitter because this was a important tool in killing a old character. Thr chapter itself was nice. I still got mixed feelings because she can come back.

5/5 chapter IMO

As for Juvia returning, I'm 50-50 on it, due to the parallels with Reina

Chapter was nice... I have mixed feelings about it tho If she stays dead (I doubt it) I will be pleased, tho this chapter has a few plotholes (maybe more?).

First there's still not much explanation on the ice chains, just what they do, but not how they work, as in how can it make someone fight against their own will. Second what blood type are those 2? It just doesn't work that way you know... and the magic she used its BS... sorry but that's how it is, the moment was indeed touching, but all of this can mean nothing if she comes back (will probably happen). I'm looking forward to the next chapter, seems like it will be something big.

The worst pat is that "fairy heart"'s other name is "lumen histoire" that kind of name guaranties time-manipulation magic. so we might get a magic that revives EVERYONE that died!

Really? It has that meaning to it too? Didn't know that, damn. Nice one.

Given Hiro Mashima´s history with Fairy Tail it´s highly unlikely that Juvia will stay dead. Although the chapter is clearly  a reference to Musica and Reina, even down to the panel-work with the link between them, the beautiful page-spread panel with the male crying tears of sorrow to contrast the feelings of the female who willingly gave her life away for her beloved one.

I gave this chapter a 5/5, even if a resurrection happens, which I´m almost certain of, this particular chapter keeps it´s quality.

We received a lot of character development for Juvia & a little bit for Gray.

Both characters had uttered passion & love for their comrades, as well as an unwillingness to harm them. Both preferring to harm themselves for the well being of mentioned comrades. In the case of Gray even to the point of dying if necessary. Although his character development rises and falls with the reasons for the motivation to use Ice Shell against Deliora. Therefore his character development can be seen either as little or a lot. Furthermore he´s the one who received a power up which is development on it´s own.

Given all this input, it was a good chapter that´ll remain meaningful regardless of future developments.

Except Reina stayed dead :P

Hiro already pulled Musica and Reina with Gajeel's death, now it's getting stale.

You're right, Grey got -ve development now. All his development with valuing his own life went down the drain. He just spat on the sacrifice of Ul, Ultear and Silver, as well as the development that Natsu gave him. Fuck, Grey was in my top 10 FT characters, not anymore after this

Lol, he didn't spat on any sacrifice those characters made for Gray. They would've been proud of Gray if they saw what he did for Juvia. Infact they would shed tears for him.

He attempted to suicide because he would rather move on living with his girl than without her. This is simply what couples do. Infact Gajeel would've done the same damn thing.

Your hate on for Juvia is making you blind to that. This made me like Gray even more because he brought in something new to the table. Dropping him off your fav list is just retarded tbh

I'll talk about the chapter later but this is something that I had to reply to first.

No, they sacrificed so that Grey could live on.

Grey attempting to commit suicide means that he doesn't value his life anymore, which many people sacrificed to maintain, that's disrespect to them.

So if your lover dies, you've got to suicide too? BS. You've got to live for their sake and for the sake of other people who care about you, and for your own damn sake cause you live only once. And like I said, this is pure disrespect to all the people who sacrificed their life so that Grey could live. Take you twisted philosophy outta here. And no, this has got nothing to do with Juvia, I'm talking about Grey not Juvia here.

If anything,  major part of his charcter development was realizing that his life is precious and he should NEVER let it go, and protect it at all costs.

By the way, Grey was always rejecting her thirsty obsessive ASS time and time again, this ship is forced AF.

Just want to correct one thing. He didn't commit suicide after Juvia did it, they both did it simultaneously.

The tears....;-;

But this is like what? The fourth time somebody important to gray died. Man, give the guy a break.

Honestly there's nothing Hiro could do to make the haters happy at this point, they would complain no matter what direction he goes in. I think its time just to ignore their whining and see how the rest of this arc plays out. Juvia will probably be back, but that's honestly a good thing. Fairy Tail doesn't have to be a series where it kills off its main characters.

Don't worry guys, Juvia is alive. It's just another "oh no she/he is dead".

Man...Gray is pissed. :D
