The kiss... that caught me off guard to be honest, I was a bit shocked, but that could mean Kagura is gay or bi, she is the guild master of a guild full of women so who knows. Or it's just Hiro's troll.
Well going by that logic Erza would be bisexual, no Kagura´s definitely not!
There are convincing ways to draw and/or write LBGT undertones or characters.
If anything Kagura is the little sister character while Erza is takes the Aneki role.
The joke Hiro tried to convey is just some lewd comedy.
I recommend everyone to read Rave chapter 271, the context is self explanatory and a good example of decent lewd humor written by Hiro Mashima a tool that´s become boring because he overuses it in FT.

Maybe he is planning something with her character and Brandish? If not I think he used the old saying "He who laughs last, laughs longest.", he even used that panel were DiMaria made fun of Brandish for getting captured by the enemy, and now she's in her position.
Like you mentioned it could be any of that, which makes the screentime so useless. We learn nothing about her neither do we know what it could lead up too.

I agree, those two girls even said she once used to live in Ishgar, maybe she lived with Erza in Rosemary village? I don't want to speculate much, just want to see how he'll handle this, hopefully much better than the Silver thing.
I don´t know what you have against Silver, while he came somewhat out of nowhere it was handled decent and was reasonable, considering Deliora was of similar nature like the Tartaros demons, on the other hand it makes no sense that they´ve been dormant for the past 15 years, maybe we´ll find out. I liked it if anything for the development Gray got, it also wasn´t that predictable as most people assumed that this was future Gray.

This brings me to my point, Gajeel's team should not be able to defeat the ones in the North... screw it, they had Minerva, what happened to her? She's not exactly the weakest, and Sting & Rogue aren't exactly fodder either (tho after this battle...). So the enemy must be a lot stronger. Hopefully these 3 in the North, Invel, August and Brandish are what Mashima planned to use (he said his editor wanted 5 or 6 spriggans).
You know it's not really fair to compare Laxus's and Jellal's circumstances... even if you liked or disliked his fight against Wahl, Laxus was still pretty hurt, and while Neinheart (along side Jacob) was one of the weakest (really interesting abilities, but low defence? really? -_-), he still managed to damage the Fairy Tail members. When Jellal faced him, he was in good shape, as for Laxus... not so much, plus Mashima already kept Natsu out of the war for some time, and seems like he's counting something, based on the titles we got from chapter 483 onwards (possibly a E.N.D. countdown).
Pretty much what Allen said. Sting and Rogue aren´t threatening since the 2vs1.
Minerva although being introduced as broken lost to Erza with a broken leg. She also mostly used treachery and deception to reach her goals.
Fairy Tail powerlevels are inconsisten as hell, that´s why I won´t make predictions for that group as Hiro can make the conclusion up on the spot.
Laxus and Jellal are compareable as they´ve been introduced as Top tier characters that only get beaten/exhausted whenever it´s convenient to the plot.
Regarding Natsu and E.N.D, that´s certainly coming this arc. If not I don´t see how they´d get rid of Acnologia and Zeref, maybe they just leave, who knows no predictions towards that from me since there´s no content to build upon.
