So have any of you noticed, since chapter 483, Mashima put numbers in the titles, and it goes like a countdown. Like chapter 483 was titled the 7 stars, this one is monstrous 6, next one is 5 days worth of food... Countdown to END?
Yeah I noticed that too.
@Isterio well obra's figure is still visible in the spriggan silhouettes picture. maybe the Spriggans were always 12 but then Serena came and made it 13 but they still kept the name?

and Like I said...I hope that Gajeel and Co. will actually get their Asses handed to them...that would be very nice surprise...and truly show the Hype that these 12 are supposed to show.
Even if Irene actually proves to be good, that will not redeem the other Spriggans.
Yeah agree on that...but we haven't yet seen these other 6 or even how August fights? Others may have been sucked but let's say that we will see how 6 will fight and then say if the hype building for them was useless because they did not succeed the otherwise.
Actually there's only five left. August, Invel and the Northern Forces, unless you're counting Brandish.
yeah about that...They were called Spriggan 12 even before Serena joined on them....That Means that Serena was at least 13th Member...and if he was....were is that person that he replaced or that it is mistake and it is now Spriggan 13.
I think it's like Luppi in the Espada, in which the writer didn't fully think about it. I'm guessing he was replaced but you think they'd've been a mention of that. Like, if they delved into Serena's betrayal and induction into the Spriggan we could've gotten answers, but alas...

As for lissanna, we have to hope she realized her limits after tortures,, I'm not mad at her, she didn't have the time to develop her magic like Mira, and ELFman did, and elf man isn't particulary strong either. But I guess we will see what she pulls out herself for this
The opponent should be to strong to use the captive method, she will lily be dealing with lunacy and julliet

So the 6 the chapter title is referring is Gajeel's team, not the Oracion Seis, what a let down, I want them to show up already.
So Kagura kissed Erza, so that was pointness, Hiro just did that for fan service, coming up with new ones for pointless fan service every chapter, give Hiro some credit for that. So we won the south, and speaking of pointless sense what was the point of showing Dimaria captured like that, was that more type of fan service. I don't know how we are suppose to feel seeing some helpless and tearing up like that especially a female character that something you do for a good guy character, not a villain. I guess Fairy Tail treats their prisoners well, but we didn't say anything about Mermaid Hell and Lamia Scale, they are not as nice as Fairy Tail.
So Brandish is going to try to negotiate with August, this sounds like a big mistake, Brandish is just going to be captured by Alvarez and imprisioned as a traitor. I guess that is a way to get her out of the story.
So we see Irene with two of her subordinates, the way I see if she is Erza's mother, I get the idea she was forced to abandon her, I don't think it is like Ur in which she was tricked into giving up Ultear, I be very angry if they did that again, but I think if Erza is her Ultear, than Hynye and Juliet are her Gray and Lyon. Her substitute kids to make up for the lose of her biological kid, only this time the gender if not changed. We don't know nothing about these characters, but I like the idea of Irene have some kind of a motherly relationship with these girls. This also reminds me of something from Rave Master with Relena and her subordinates. I think for sure Hiro is doing another version of that.
I could be a mixture of Relena and Ur with Irene's characters. Here is my theory on Irene and Erza separation, Irene was chased out of Ishgar, she left Erza in the Rosemary village to keep her safe and hide out, what ever noble or royal family the Belserion are, someone wanted them dead or wanted them captured in Ishgar. Could it have been the council, some other noble family, or here is what I am guessing, Brain. In the anime, we find out he was looking for people to be his link for the Oracion Seis, one of the candidates was Ultear, maybe even before that, Erza was one of his candidates.
So we finally get the name of all 12 Spriggen, the final one is Rahkeid and he looks like the grim reaper, can't wait to see him in the flesh.
Pretty an informative chapter, fun for speculation, but not much happened. Next chapter something do with food
Pretty sure Bradman is the grim reaper looking guy.

This continues to get worse and worse. Why Mashima, why.
Now the Pervert-Spriggan(the spriggan fodders dont deserve to be remembered by names) is getting Brandished. Kek.
Add to that we have yuri-baiting with Erza, who of course survived without a scratch because She's Erza.
Why does Brandish need to negotiate with Spriggans? Fodders steamrolled half the "unbeatable" army already. That would be feasible plot if the "invasion" felt in any way scary. But at this point Phantom Lord were more threatening than these fodders. Literally don't feel like there's any reason to be scared of them. They have yet to do anything of significance and pale in comparison to the Demon Gates.
There's no weight no consequences to tension to ANYTHING in this arc. Stuff just randomly happens. I mean am I supposed to shit my pants at the mentions of August, who literally almost got fodderized by Acnologia alongside God Serena(god what a disappointment after that build up that was)? Should I be scared of Fanservicey-Milf_Erza_version? Erza is bound to friend-talk her away anyway and she will get jailed again. ANd the rest of the Spriggans are comedic jokes.
Every time I think this manga can't get more trashier, it gets more trashier. To think the same mangaka created both the Rave manga as well as Tartaros arc....Why, Mashima, why?

Its hilarious that if we remove her name and leave a blank space there, this literally describes EVERY SINGLE VILLAIN this arc.
xD, same. I didnt think the arc could get any qworse coming into chapter 483 and I saw the WORST chapter of the entire series with 5 one shots in 2 pages. LOL, I guess a lower limit deosn't exist for this manga.
TBH, Tartarus wasn't that good either, none of the demons except Mard (end boss) was able to keep upto the hype set by Jackal alone (who fought a 3 on 1 battle, and still alomst won; would've won if Natsu could'nt absorb his blasts). All the demons in the arc except Mard Geer will be shitted on by Deliora, the demon gates didn't live upto their expectations too (set up by Deliora)
