So what's the over/under on Beth being dead?  Rather, what excuse will they give her for taking one of Wahl's attacks head on and probably coming out of it with nothing more than a headache and torn clothes?

Aquarius was always been the key to Lucy's mother, this was made clear year's ago.  Lalya has something planned, Aquarius, her best friend, has always known, and Brandish's mother likewise was in on it.  Just lean back and enjoy the ride as Lalya's true plan is revealed.

Layla's true plan better be worth sucking every last ounce of weight out Lucy's sacrifice in Tartaros.

I'll wait for next week to see the whole Aquarius thing. Mashima did mention in vol 45 that he likes to think that Lucy and Aquarius won't be separated for long.

And yes she had some decent moments prior but so did Sakura. And yes she is on the same level as Sakura. One author has no clue about his female character, the other abuses them as living fanservice toys.



One thing I give her though another poster mentioned. Mashima does give the female and male characters almost the same amount of screentime.

Aquarius returning was random. Mixed feelings right now but I want to wait a week for an explanation. Hopefully it's half decent.



Brandish getting saved off screen was pretty jarring.



Cool hearing Brandish's explanation but a lot of explaining needs to be done.
