Am I the only one who's trying to make sense of the power levels? In Tartaros you had Mard Geer who was supposed to be the the (2nd?) strongest Demon that Zeref ever made... and was literally fucking shit up left and right. Hiro even had a panel where Mard implied that he would go fight Acnologia...
But here we have the first of the Spriggan 12 and she's being implied to be on a whole different level than Mard Geer. And the fact that she made a whole island disappear just like that, is implying that she's Acnologia level, seeing as he also leveled a whole island back in the Tenrou Island arc.
I guess I'm just confused as to how Tartaros was gonna have a "destroy the world" threat when there are 12 or more humans just one continent away that could have crushed them.
No Mard Geer was never mentioned as "The 2nd strongest demon". Tartaros was a failed experiment, Zeref himself says that he failed many times, but finally succeeded with Natsu.
It's not implying that she's on Acnologia's level. Why do people always assume stuff like that? If it weren't for the Fairy Sphere they would've been dead. Where here she just made the earth vanish, most likely put it under the water. Gildarts can blow up a mountain, can 'destroy' a human (as we saw when he fought Natsu, he did not kill him, but it looked like it, he says "It wasn't that kinda spell"), and Brandish did something similar to Marin, might've killed him, who knows. Point is that they seem to be on par with Gildarts, God Serana might be slightly above.
Tartaros could use 'curses', since Face was a magic bomb that nullifies magic, most, actually all magician are useless without magic, so they'd ultimately lose. Their purpose was to go back to Zeref and resurrect or free E.N.D. People say "Clearly the 12 Spirggan would've been more useful than the demons..." Yeah.. no. Because Zeref has his curse.

The first part was alright, just a little lightheartedness to start off the chapter. Juvia being naughty with Gray, as always lol. The main thing impressed me with Miss Brandish, wow! Reshaping an island then making a person vanish from existence and them completely wipe out an island in an instant. These Sprigan 12 are looking very scary, even more frightening then Tartarus in terms of power. I just how everyone is gonna be able to compete with Alvarez. This arc is getting really intense!
Idk why but for some reason I just felt like saying this "Goku could do better"

FT arcs always starts the same, strong enemies showing huge drama over it, then 5 - 7chapters later they are getting owned, or FT just wins with nakama power and that's just stupid.
They should make this a 1year arc since there's so many things being focused from the start of the time lapse up to now.

(Theres probably even more, but I can't remember right now)
All of that plus good fights without stupid nakama fights(Erza fights),real fights with Laxus and Gildarts and this has everything to be the best arc.
