Don't take the bait darklight, their posts are screaming "wheres gray-samaaaa?!?!?! fk natsu fk everyone , i want edgy graysamaa >.<"

says the butthurt turd wanting natsu to solo, but doesn't realize that Natsu will get his butt whopped by Mard Geer.

LOL no one said anything about Natsu soloing Marde. I'm perfectly fine with Natsu getting help from Sting and Rogue. Usually he always gets help when dealing with really strong opponents but then a retard like you doesn't see that. But continue your deluded rambling. That's what you gray lovers do best

Natsu should get his ass whopped. it's better so that this cockyness you two natsu retarded lovers have will go away. and no it's what the deluded natsu fandom does best. might want to see actual truth of reality before spouting bullshit like usualCalm your tits mate, you are sounding like a butthurt gray fanboy but i dont want to paint that on ya.

I wouldn't mind Natsu getting his whooped, i mean it'd have some development for his strength overall and learn after his lose like most people do, right?

He'll have enough loss to deal with once Igneel dies on him cause there's no way he's surviving this arcI agree, i feel like igneel will die at some point, THE SIGNS ARE THERE, i swear. It will be sad if it was to happened. But i'd be more excited how crazy and badass natsu would become, holy shit

I hear you man. Also the potential for comforting he could get from Lucy afterwards when he finally is allowed to cry. Don't get me wrong I'd love for Igneel to live but I am just trying to look at it as a glass half full kind of situation.Don't worry, i get where you're coming from man. That'd be more juicy NaLu development too.

It'll come. He was there for Lucy when her dad turned up dead so her doing the same for him will be a perfect way to come full circle and bring them closer

Acnologia doesnt care about little "worms" like humans cause they are "small"

"cares" about igneel that he finally spoke

SO THE BEST WAY TO BEAT ACNOLOGIA IS TO BIGGER THAN HIM!!! FAIRY TAIL JUST MAKE A HUMAN LADDER BIG ENOUGH TO SCARE ACNOLOGIA

Hahahaha. Well he didn't talk to Makarov and he got pretty big during that brief wrestling match on Tenrou

I guess Natsu winning over Jackal doesn't count at all, since Jackal was defeated by an element of surprise after all.

Okay so.. A lot of characters are not appearing in a long time (like Juvia or Lucy) and the chapters look smaler by the second :<

I liked the part when Natsu and Igneel shouted at the same time and also when Natsu was hited by Mard Geer and Igneel was consurned about him :D

I am going to guess that the girl in the crystal is Mavis in the Lumen Histoire chamber and that her 'ghost' has been a projection all along (kind of like Jellal back when he was evil).

In terms of Gray (let us not get into a who is stronger/who you like and hate argument here) I am curious to see how his demon slayer abilities are classified. Because of its demonic origin does it count as a curse, making Gray immune to Face, or does it count as magic? If it does count as a curse because of the demonic element then we may see Mira retain her abilities since she mentioned that she has a literal demonic element in her body.

In terms of who is strong enough to do what in this series, I think everyone is letting their emotions get the better of them here. This series is not the most consistent with strength by a long shot. That is one reason why I like the dual dragon mode over dragon force. Dragon force really feels like a handy 'get out of plot hole free' card in how a character can become strong enough to beat one really powerful enemy but still have trouble with the next arc's mooks. On the plus side it does avoid the DBZ effect where power levels get so skewed that the resident Goku character becomes the only relevant character, when overused it feels very contrived. I prefer abilities that are more technical than focused on pure strength for these reasons, they allow for tricky battles with less need for power bloat when done right. Dual modes at least have a greater permanency and in Gajeel's case provide utility as well as raw power. Natsu's has the potential to offset his weakness to water based attacks through the inclusion of the thunder attribute as well, even though this scenario has not shown up yet.

All in all this arc has not been too bad (with a few exceptions) and has given us development on quite a few characters. While you may dislike Gray as a character you have to admit that giving him an ability that is designed to be useful against a certain type of enemy and leaving him on a bus after one minor battle does seem silly. Even if he loses or has to team up to take on the big bad it makes sense from a story standpoint to have him at least DO something.

However, since we are on a timer it would not shock me if Hiro used Face to postpone Marde Geer's defeat to a later fight and have Gray (if his Slayer ability counts as a curse) hold him off to allow our 3 dragon mages to get out of there (possibly with END's book to really piss off Marde) resulting in Gray doing something, Marde going absolutely nuts while  still having Marde Geer, END and the mushroom demon Franmalth as potential threats even if Face can seal the 2 dragons along with everyone's magic.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

Indeed. The difference is noticeable. Maturity never means you fully change as a person.Yeah i know right. He is fleshed out.

Honestly the only region Natsu lacks development in is his past and that's because his past is connected to the overarching plot thanks to Zeref and End and Igneel. Natsu has been changing every since he met Lucy in chapter one. This is where the importance of having someone to protect plays in, Lucy. Lucy has defs made Natsu who he is now.

It's not just that. Look at how he started out. At first he only did jobs on his own with Happy. But first he teams up with Lucy for finding Macao and then Everlue quest. Then Gray and ERza got added on. That's just one example of how he changed. This nakama power (though everyone complains about it,lol) would be a reason too, he takes his friends real serious, huh. As for the part where he dived in when igneel told him not to be naive, lets look it at this perspective:

>he hasn't seen igneel for years

>finally sees igneel

>shocked and emotional

>igneel in danger and fighting

>doesn't want to lose him or see him in harm

etc.

It'd be normal for anyone to be diving in to help mindlessly when they see their father who he has not seen in years in danger and fighting against a powerful enemy.

Oh definitely. Especially with the truth that the damn scaly bastard was chilling in your own body while you were desperately traveling all over Fiore looking for his smoky ass

Natsu is in fact more mature, in fact every single character is. Especially Gray and Gajeel

Gray - Lost is family and his village when he was a child

- Lost is Master

- Had to fight against Lyon, his teammate when Ur was alive

- Lost Ultear

- Now Fights with is Dad and he sees him leaving once again

To me his story is one of the most heartbreaking of Fairy Tail

Gajeel - Was maniac who seek destruction

- Was a stupid when he entered the guild before he protect Levi from Laxus

- Had to suffer to gain trust of all and respect him, he finally have it

EDIT: There is other other ofc much as important than this ones i mentioned, is just an exemple... Like Erza, Jella, Laxus, Natsu, Lucy

I find ultear's story to be the most tragic of the series. Much more tragic than Gray's that's for sure

Yes Ultear story was indeed tragic but we shouldnt compare Gray and Ultear story.. they are both sad and tragic

Ultear was left to the demons all alone sadly

- Then she managed to escape and went to her mother... but she finds out that her mother has other "sons" and she was mad... (well she was a kid we cant blame her for that)

_ But Ultear decided to make a dark pass, was her option... a bad one... she hurted many people..

_SHe redeemed herself by doing everything she could even giving is life for the mages...

So, Gray was more mature at the age of Ultear... But happens. Ultear was indeed tragic

I wouldn't say Gray was more mature at Ultear's age. He did run off on his own after Deliora despite Ul trying to keep him safe. Unless you mean in current timeline and not the past.

You might want to get your own glasses because no one even mentioned specifally in a post of where's Gray, before you did dumbass.

pot meet kettle. who was it that brought up Gray again?

see post 21. too insecure aren't ya? ;)

lol indeed. what do you expect from the two natsu lovers? they are embarrasing themselves as usual lol

Haha, agreed. When the hypocritical el juvenile butthurt Darklight is leading the charge, you can't expect anything else right? making the natsu fandom as deluded people as a whole ;)
