Woot, Sting and Rogue show up in epic fashion! And Wendy cut her half-long hair completely now. :[ It makes sense, but I'll miss her long hair look. Nice resolve there though for sure.

I miss Erza's re-equipping abilities. Don't even remember the last time she used a different armour.

Well, this arc so far has been incredibly strong in character development - both Wendy and Lucy got some very life-altering experiences that will influence their characters a lot, making them into stronger and more self-assured people.



I laugh even more at the people who claim FT has no character development. THis shit RUNS ON IT.





Great to see Sting And Rogue there again.

Part of me fears that this is the time and place when Future-Rogue's prophecy of about his past/rogue'sfuture will come into play

Asian cultures have a LOT of beliefs connected to specifically eyes and hair. If eyes are soul, then hair, for lack of better comparison is personal qualities. The importance of Hair stems from both the local folklore AND from Buddhist mythology, namely Siddhartha.



Hair is synonimous with status in society - samurai would wear their hair in a pony tail - and if they were to decide to change their path, they would have to cut it.



Cutting one's hair means  changing one's direction.



Hair and its length, in japan represents "feminine" qualities.  A yamato nadeshiko stereotype is always depicted with long, straight black  hair, as definition of it representing the top of feminine nature - "kami wa onna no inochi" - woman's hair represents her life and its associations.



Thus a woman cutting her hair has the double as strong meaning - not only she is changing her path, she is also rejecting the feminine canotations of weakness an inherent medieval sexism brings to her "role".



Saying its "cliche" is like saying "samurai carrying swords is cliche", saying that "actors wearing masks/make-up in kabuki is cliche" or laughing at the fact that chinese wuxia genre has parkour-like floating.  Its the core element of eastern narrative fiction.

Okay everyone that says what Minerva did to Lucy was unforgiveable. Let's be fair, torturing Lucy is not a new thing. Other characters have done it before and they all turn good and forgiving. Gajeel, Knightwalker, Flare and for anime only Midnight though I wouldn't say he is a full fledge good guy, but yeah the crime of Lucy is forgivable by FT standards.  We forgiving others in the past, I am not going to hold that against her.



Other evil stuff she has done, we can examine that and see if there are unforgibeable. But Lucy's torture, just like Lucy fanservice, it is so common place that is loses its impact.

Minerva's Heel face turn was pretty weak and ruined the chapter.

Oh. c'mon... Wendy is short hair now ... damn .. Why the heck many of the anime character is changing on to short-hair !!? .. Is it a new trend or something!?... Well ... but I do like her short hair lol!! so long .. dark-blue long hair ...

Erza vs minerva!!

Minerva's past... damn Didn't know she has this kind of past.. That Jiemma ... glad he died .. or I should have gone there and kill him by myself. pathetic bastard should die like that .

Erza won!! She's really the strongest sword fighter!! and a beautiful woman too!! I think Minerva is beginning to reform and reflect.
