I'm not sure if I should love or hate this chapter.

Of course I am joking, but for real, Jellal is not dead. Probably an illusion. If he is dead, I am no longer reading FT. Jellal is my favorite character.

Anyway, this chapter was lovely but I will not confirm that until I know Jellal is alive. (Jellal is a very beautiful man) Haha, anyway, I think Cana has already caught onto Elfman, so don't fret my fairies. Things will work out. This is DEFINITELY one of the best arcs.

Is Mashima trying to be dark or something? If Jellal seriously died then it was a truly pathetic death. By Zero? Really?

Wrong. In one of  Mashimas reviews of tankōbon 32 he stated himself that Zeref will show up.

If you remember Igneel said also that it's time to show up for him.

The tournament arc should turn out to a new dragonfeast that contains dragons, humans and demons. That was mentioned long time ago.



Now Mashima is doing that what he couldn't do before.



There's no reason to when there's other arcs to do it. If Igneel failed 400Years ago to destroy end he would fail now as well. Dragons will NOT show up.



Igneel is the only one who has knowledge about END and this time he isn't alone.

If Silver indeed came from future, he shouldn't be shocked or bemoan Natsu being captured.



Alternate timelines. The FT universe seems to revolve around the concept of time travel sending you to an alternate timeline. Future rogue came from a separate timeline than future lucy, for example. In the same way, Silver could quite easily be Gray from a separate future in which FT wasn't able to fight back and Natsu wasn't captured.



Also, like someone above just said, Jellal did go from saying "I'll free you" to saying that he'll kill Oracion Seis. Midnight as well doesn't seem too surprised, although he already accepted that Brain/Zero was using Oracion Seis and didn't think of them as his children. He was actually smirking.



Someone else said that Jellal has tanked this kind of attack before, that is true, but  this time he has a friggin hole through his chest and blood everywhere. Now, taking into account that at the time he tanked the attack the first time (Nirvana arc), he was severely weakened from fighting Midnight and using that self destruction spell, this time he was pierced right through. Moreover, the first time, Zero wasn't tired or wounded at all, and wasn't able to kill Jellal. Right now however, Cobra hit him and knocked Brain out too, which should mean that he dealt a considerable amount of damage and weakened Zero as well.



I'd say its pretty likely that this is an illusion Tartaros is being shown. (Don't know who said it, but its someone in this thread on this page).

Inb4, Midnight used his illusionary abilities by the time Zero lasers Jellal. The latter lives.. meh. Hiro trolling again as usual.

Gotta love the stark nakedness.

Kana suspects something it seems but you just gotta love the but nakedness of the prisoners that the demons captured they're all a bunch of sadistic people. Jella WTF just happened.

Great chapter. Gerard just got owned by Zero. Elfman should just commit Seppuku. Natsu and Lisanna moments were great. Too bad Silver threw  Lisanna that blanket. Some one has to save Erza soon.
