Fan service, a very informative chapter, they brought back the old Erza had a disturbing relationship with Natsu and Gray joke from way back. And Wendy reaction was hillarous. They mentioned the tressue hunting guild, I hope we never see them again, plase don't let them be the Jiggle Butt Gang of this series, just let them go away forever. We don't see Flare this chapter, so there was no goodbye scene, so yup she is joining Fairy Tail, if Hiro was just going to leave her with the giants, there would be a dramatic goodbye scene. She is probably as Fairy Tail getting her crest right now as we speak.
It was all worth it at the end, we know Tartaros might have something connected with Zereff, they have his book, makes me wonder if this was just recently, because 7 years Zereff was Grimmore Heart's territory, how would the alliance maintain itself?
It is offical, the Tartarus arc is on. Since they are in the next chapter title, I expect for the rest of the 9 demons to be introduced, and we might not see much of Fairy Tail, mostly Tartarus and the Council. That is my prediction for the next chapter.
