I have the same feeling that Ultear is the answer in this but again if Gray will day Mashima say that something dramatic will happen and here it is good for him.

I've been reading and watching the fairy tail series for a long time, and it is my favourite anime/manga ever. so it would be very hard for me to hate the series but if Gray actually DOES die, then I honestly have no idea how i'm going to feel other than sad, I mean, should I be angry at Hiro for killing my favourite character? or should I forgive him?

He took a shot to the head. As in smack through the middle of the brain. He's dead. For now the tricky part is

we didn't not see him being shot

just shadow

and it wasn't beam

all shots were stight beams

the headshot was not

perhaps it was not direct hit

I'm thinking the same thing too, Gray most likely will not die. Either saved by Ultear sacrificing herself with her magic somehow or get healed by Chelia enough to stay alive.



Also, Lyon has actually never met Ultear before right? I wonder what his reaction/response will be when they meet since Ultear is Ul's daughter.

Wow so many posts in so shor period of time... but that's expected sice something so big hapened.



When i was reading this chapter and sam gray geting first hit i thought:

"Ok he got hit where heart should be, if he survives it would be stupid, but since it's FT thay will probably make him live"

Then i saw that he got another hits, and I was certain he died. It's something so unbelivable in this manga that it may enter higher level. Anyway i still think Gray will be resurected somehow. Most likely since Ultear seem to think that she is not worth living, she will use some time arc special hiper super secret magic and by sacrificing her live she will bring back Gray from the other world.

Other less cool way for him to survive will be another person's time travel... but that would just get things mad.

I hope that Gray is actually dead. Not because I hate him or anything, but because this series just has way too few deaths and pretty much no deaths of FT members let alone the main characters. A death could add some real depth and make this series less predictable. However it is is more likely than not that he isn't dead or if he is he will just get revived somehow later on in the arc.
