Huh? Isn't the reason why Ultear wants to kill Rouge is for Future Rouge to disappear and it has nothing to do with the Eclipse anymore since it was already opened in the present timeline?

Anyways, my theory on timeline was kinda correct.

The point is killing Rogue does not necessarily make F Rogue disappear, because there are alternate realities and such. The first chart in the chapter clearly explains that there are multiple futures with different results. Think about this way: the present is still the future of the past, combine with the former fact we can get multiple versions of present Rogue as well. So killing Rogue will not matter as there are still an alternate version of him that will become Future Rogue.

Rogue, rogue, rogue. Seems like the guy is the center of attention in this chapter/arc. Oh and badass face at the end:

I expected Ultear to understand time travel because she has time manipulation magic. She could end up doing what I expect, but we'll see.

We saw the time line at the beginning of the chapter so present Lucy doesn't have to become future Lucy while present Rogue doesn't have to become evil either.

Ultear only needs to kill Rogue's shadow as that seems to be the trigger to turn him evil. Killing him would protect the present time line if she can't kill the shadow, but that should only be the last resort.

Actually killing Rogue won't stop anything. Future Rogue is only responsible for Eclipse 2. Eclipse one would still happen because the kingdom wants to kill Zeref. sadly Ultear and Crime Sorciere don't know this and thing that killing Rogue will stop the eclipse from opening.

There is also a possibility that Ultear is the one who make Rogue turn evil. Just a theory though. I really want to see how Mashima solves this.

And if Ultear were to kill Rogue wouldn't that have created a sort of a paradox.

Congrats, Urtear, you are the one who started Rogue's path to darkness now, and you don't even know it, lol.

Hiro is doing great at setting up the atmosphere I say, the vistas of destruction this causes and the foreshadowing from the King fits really nicely.

I guess we are now up tot he point where shit hits the fan as he promised, I wonder on exactly what will be that "tragedy" Mashima has been speaking of.

Another epic chapter. Also like that even though Natsu is still hurting and angry about F!Lucy's death he still doesn't go for the easy option of taking out present rogue. He knows who the enemy is and he's going for him right now.

Even so Ultear proves once again why she is SUCH A FREAKIN BADASS OF A WOMAN.

Yeah, I know that. But what I'm saying is that killing Rouge has nothing to do with the opening of Eclipse.

If F Rouge is from the future of the "present" timeline, then killing Rouge can make F Rouge disappear (it's like saying that F Rouge is the result of what is happening right now) but if F Rouge came from a timeline which is different from the "present timeline" then killing Rouge will not make F Rouge disappear.

the point is that as long as the eclipse gate exists and is opened in any timeline, killing future Rogue won't save Earthland. The one way to stop this all from happening is destroying the gate before it is opened.

I can understand what and the 3 of you are saying but what is bothering me is that on the timeline we see that FRouge is going back in time but don't show us how he make a deal with the dragons.

If the dragons are from 400 year ago he must go first there and to control and to deal with them.
