Don't even give him that, Sting's surrender was bullshit. It's cool that people can actually tell a bad chapter instead of the mindless love this chapter got this week.
You must see things and with a different view and try to understand what is the feelings of each character
I really like this chapter it was amazing and really epic the way that FT was not moving when Sting was showing his new power. FT in the beginning was just standing and in the end again the same way .... that is really epic.
And about Erza i have already say what I thing of it just look 5 post up
well the way mashima was hyping it made it look like he actually had a plan, which he did not, It was obvious FT was gonna win, but I wanted Sting to actually have something planned and give them some trouble or something, the way he just dropped and surrendered was bullshit. Erza was also on some bullshit getting her asskicked for a couple of powers and pulls some hax out of her ass to oneshot minerva what the fuck? I'm personally biased against Lecter because I didn't want him to come back, but FT is kinda light hearted so i should've expected that.
Sting did have a plan, exactly the plan that I thought he would have but he backed out of it. The chapter was fine, didn't have the ending that I wanted since the beginning of day 5. I wanted Sting to fight FT, wipe out 4 members and for Gajeel to have more limelight and beat Sting, teaching him something along with Sting's defeat.
And for the record of rating things. Many people rate things differently. Some rate it on the art, or the plot, or their enjoyment of the chapter, or more usually the quality and overall rate of the chapter. For me I don't actually have a clear cut rating chapters/episodes yet; I just rate it on how I feel after watching an episode or reading a chapter.
Everyone is different and entitled to their opinion whether if they voted 5 or 1 out of 5 for this chapter or any other.
At the beginning of day 5, I expected Erza to lose a tough battle against Minerva, but after witnessing the chapter where Minerva takes out Kagura and Millianna as expected, I realised that MInerva had to lose and Erza had to win somehow; nothing was going to change that. I had expected Gray and Juvia to lose after beating Lyon, Shelia, and Rufus on the way, as they had their time in the limelight, and that Laxus would lose to Sting helping Gajeel out, and after beating Jura. I wished Gajeel had more time in the limelight. My better ending would have been what I wrote above, Gajeel using his own strength with the spirit of his comrades and defeating an upgraded Sting. And spouting some advice and jabbing at him with an earlier remark in day 2 of the competition. But that was not to be.
N.B. I still give this chapter a 5 because of my weird/confused system of rating. I very very very rarely give out 1 or 2 out of 5. My lowest so to speak is usually 3. 5 out 5 means a various things to mean, it depends what I feel on the day.
Note that Erza's new armour won't do much against dragons. Remembering that Levy probably was crying when she retells how everyone kind of dies including FT's strongest team and all the dragonslayers.
And again Hiro Mashima better know that the manga only ends until Natsu becomes a (Lightning Fire) Dragon God Slayer without any unnecessary power ups like Etherion.

That also caught my attention. It was strange that Mavis's face changed so suddenly. But also look at that page carefully (i think i'm not seeing things), i mean she's eyes got cat-like. Maybe it's because she's sensing something, dunno.
And there's also one thing... who's the badass? Arcadios, Hisui, Datong or maybe Future Lucy...?

If you are talking about page 30 I think the left picture is not Mavis. The right picture is Mavis, but the left is the princess I think.
Also mangapanda's translation was correct on the nakagami because mangastream has it for this chapter too.That armor is a ridiculous power-up. I'm sorry, but it just is.
Well it is Mavis on both of the pictures and I think that she is sensing something don't forget she is a spirit after all.
And about the armor it is really cool if you think of it and it just show how strong Erza has become after all this time. And it is good to see new things from the characters nice new magic, weapons, armors and other things.

Yeah I heard a lot of things happened that originally weren't planned to happen. That's kinda lame, I'm sure things would've been much better if they happened the way the writter wanted it, and not the 'higher ups' so to say. Oh well.
Well, not that I don't like Fairy Tail, but One Piece will in my opinion always be better. In the last few chapters FT became kinda all too obvious and predictable, whilst (again, in my opinion) OP never ceased to surprise me no matter the series length.
Personally I was bored to tears with the last arc of OP. New one has some potential but only cause Law and Dolflamingo are in it
