Difference. She's the First. She's the Founder. She's his predecessor. He's differing to her as a sign of respect. She's not actually calling any shots or making any decisions; but he does act to seek her approval.



He looks up to her if anything. We saw this from the moment he visited her grave on Tenrou.

yah the princess looks very similar to Lucy, interested in seeing her role and the difference between eclipse 1 and 2.



Also, Mavis finally prooves her value as the founder of Fairy Tail. I don't care bout the haters and Makarov favourers, she was 1st from the beginning so this is only natural.



Can't wait for the main fights to happen (we all know them so I won't bother pairing them), also: I hope they leave out the 'rescue team' in the next chapter so we can have an old fashioned fight chapter in our hands next friday.



Again, finally it has shown dat what Makarov has in strength and willpower, Mavis has in brainz (also in willpower, do whatever it takes.), Purehito was something between but fuck him. (trtrtrtrtrtr)



GO LAXUS, ERZA, GRAY and the rest! (let's be honest, gray is just pure awesome badass that pulls off when it counts, and the other's aren't so interesting, we know Gajeel will nail them like flies and Juvia will splash them. But what I mainly want is some Laxus/Gray/Erza quality time.)

She's been here for the duration of THIS arc. And I don't really want to accept her. Let her have some fun? Then she should have fun that is proportionate to her character. Meaning she WAS a master. Now she is not. And for me, simply put, Makarov>>>>>Mavis

I actually think Mavis may have a major role in this whole arc. Something tells me her and zeref are more than familiar with one another. Who knows, she may be zeref's counterpart, or something along those lines. Maybe she was one of the first dragonslayers, or even a godslayer since she immediately recognized the sky god slayers powers. I don't know what it will be, but I have a very strong feeling that she is way more involved in this then we believe. She may know about the dragon festival and came to the tournament for this very reason.

Cheating how? It sounds pretty much exactly like Rufus's character. She just watched the matches and was able to run simulations to 'predict' the future. She isn't' taking part in the event herself and isn't affecting any of the other guilds' members. Plus, its not like she can win their fights for them.

Just a random thing I noticed. The princess's name is Hisui E. Fiore, her first name meaning "jade". Then we have Zealconis, whose title in Japanese is the Jade Dragon.



I have no idea what possible connection there would be between the princess and a long-dead reptile, so I'm just gonna call coincidence. Unless Mashima gives me reason to believe there's something important there.

This is probably the first time Fairy Tail will use a tactic to gain the upper hand on their enemies, other than their usual "rush balls deep into the enemy". The chapter was nice, but I wonder if this is really a good time to start introducing new characters with alternative plans.
