This reminds me a lot of that audition with Erika. It's interesting how Nakamura-sensei let this play out in this arc as well, she knows it's kind of repetitive, the audition with Kanae, the evil girl who has connections/famous name, talent and gets in her way with shady methods... but Nakamura-sensei just put that right at the front, tells us she knows that and intends to use it as her weapon and makes a totally different story out of it. Last time it was about helping Kanae confronting her enemies, while making the bad girl realize her mistakes and showing that Kyoko is great at improvising. This time it'll be also about the girl realizing her mistakes and wrong attitude (like always) but who's the other focus of the story? Kyoko herself and her love for Ren.
So I predict she will get the role because the producer already kind of set her mind on her and Erika pointed it out as well. But it'll also make her push forward, realizing something big about her love for Ren. And I think the scene they will have to play is exactly about that. It's about Momiji, who's desperatly in love with the guy, but he loves that other woman and now she comes face to face with her....how will Momiji react? And that will ultimatly influance how Kyoko is going to handle her love for Ren from now on. That Morizumi girl is quite smart, but not smart enough to realize, that she just put Kyoko in the perfect position of acting out Momiji. Kyoko now totally understands how Momiji feels. And that's her greatest asset in this situation.
Something big is going to happen where both Ren and Kyoko won't want to hold back their feelings anymore, either in fear to lose the other, or in being open and except the decision they think their loved one has made and consequently confess their feelings in order to stop them from developing further...like admitting this is the end, they can't go further because it hurts too much, or like saying 'I like you and this hurts but I'll support you being with that other person'... at least one person needs to realize that the other person likes them after that...and because Kyoko is just really bad at taking hints it might be Ren, who realises that Kyoko loves him back. Or Ren who confesses his love because he sees a glimpse of hope in her behaviour...
BUT IT WOULD BE SO MUCH COOLER FOR KYOKO TO REALIZE FIRST THAT REN LIKES HER. Right?
I mean it would be unexpected and too good to be true. Now that I thought it I can't unthink it.
Her realizing that Ren is Corn and everything... nah I guess that's too far of a stretch...
But Nakamura-sensei will probably find a better way to play this out.
She always does...in her typically frustrating, complicated way of writing Kyoko ^^
