We all hate this series now.

89 murder, 90 bad burial, 91 zombie revival... 92 apocalypse

Inorite? This is the first series that I've seen where the fans are GLAD it's ending. It's like our Ol Yeller and we're waiting to put it down.

I'm getting weird death vibes coming from Zero all of a sudden. I hope he doesn't do something stupid. If this was all a set up for Zero to kill himself... VK is going down as one of the poorest manga ever. I guess it is already at that point though.

It's a trend started by Dicken's A Tale of Two Cities that the guy who doesn't get the girl in the end will end up sacrificing himself for her. It's been my speculation for a while that the most likely to die out of the three main charcaters is Zero, but we'll see how it will turn out.

Yeah, Zero's memory loss seemed pointless, but it could be Hino's plot device to get him to care for Kaname and Yuuki. Not that it was executed that well.

It maybe pointless to add something after reading most of the comments here, but seriously, Hino really wants to makes Zero dies for the sake of Yuki's happiness.

Really ? just watching the anime and reading the manga made really cry for Zero, the one who suffered hell the whole time, don't deserve a piece of happiness ?

Some times i think i should go kill Hino for this heart breaking shits, it's true that kaname did everything and want to turn her human and suffered hell like zero but seriously, you have yuki and everything, Zero witnessed his family murder, held his brother on his both hands and suck his blood only for the sake so that yuki could live.

I feel that Zero s just being prepared as a sacrifice for the YuMe i'm sure.

i don't hate Kaname, but he played enough with Zero's life. Not only him, every body just makes Zero like a Plot for their sake, to be alive, to be protected, to be saved, is he this worthless ? i swear to god i cried for him ...

if this manga don't end with ZeKi, i will never ever watch something or read something like this genre.

I'm not against YuMe, or something, but as every body can confirm that the whole story included Kaname and Yuki together. And Zero left like a -what should i say here ?- ........

It hurts a lot, to see Kaname's like, "lol Zero i'll take your happiness, and Yuki, and you should just die for her sake, the entire manga, i'll make yuki only for me."

Seriously, I want to LMAO at the irony of this chapter. I mean Hino-sensei swings to ZeroxYuki by the end of this chapter again? We just experienced KanamexYuuki last chapter and now this? It sickens me. I think Hino-sensei should've known by now that the readers have (tolerated) enough of this already and that any more fan-service won't do her any good as there're only two chapters left. (THANK GOD! *tears of absolute happiness*) It's fine as long as she uses this method a few times but since god know when it has been too (god damn) frequent and eventually reduces the interest readers hold on to this series.

Another thing is what is the point of our dear Zero losing his memories in the first place if he's going to regain them THIS quick? (I guess because there're only two chapters left to go?) To me, what Yuuki did is rather pointless. IDK everything seem so rush like how Sara was stabbed and died, period. Sometimes I just really don't know (what's the point or) where this story is heading to anymore as there're too many plot holes, trolling and both characters development and other characters involvement are very limited. As far as I could remember, the only reason I still read this is for the sake of Zero's happiness but it seem Hino-sensei wants to torture him until the end with one of the most _________ (*cough* put all negative adjectives you can ever think of here *cough*) heroine. Three main things I noticed about her actions in this chapter...

1) What I see: Yuuki tried to change Kaname to human.

What I feel: Oh yeah sure Kaname won't even notice what you're trying to do as you're straddling and caressing him on the bed while he was sleeping like that. I believe purebloods usually have sharp senses but don't worry Yuuki, I guess this time it's exceptional. ;D

2) What I see: ' Kaname: "Yuuki, stay here. I'll go...They've sent lots of their servants here."

Yuuki: "I'll go. You're their target..." '

What I feel: Are you kidding me girl? You? I mean you? (of all people?) I see you've done nothing but being a burden to him (and Zero) since you became a pureblood. You can't even look after yourself! I mean you can't even decide which guy you want to be with.

3) What I see: ' Kaname: "...You're more suited to be under the sunlight."

Yuuki: "That's...something for me to decide Kaname!" blah blah blah and many more like "I want to stay as a vampire"

What I feel: WTF? Oh hell hello?! Are you having an amnesia? Does any of these lines sound familiar to you? "...Stop it...", "I won't forgive you...", "Stop it Yuuki", "Don't steal her from me...!" How dare you! I don't even think you deserve a right to say anything since you just erased Zero's memories two chapters ago. Don't you think he want to keep his memories as well? Seriously, I want to rip my hairs out!

Again, thank god there're only two chapters left. *sob in pure bliss* I never imagine that this day will finally come where we'll eventually get to see the end of this series but well, two more months and I'll be done tolerating with Yuuki's actions. *sigh in relief*

Haha you echoed my feelings perfectly XD

Sorry, but it will not make sense if the main character and the one that the manga drives its title from will die a tragic death after centuries of lonliness and sufferring. With Yuuki knowing that the man that she loves is going to die for her sake, I can only see her trying her damnest to save him. It's also likely that Zero will end up lending her a hand. The charcater development that I can see Zero getting before the end of the series is him getting over his hatred of the pureblood and learning to co-exist with them.

I expect two endings: one in which Zero sacrifices himself to convey he hates neitehr Kaname or Yuuki, or the three of them suviving and learning to co-exist with one another.

First of all, no one forced Kaname to choose this path, he choose it because he wants it. Surely he suffered some hundreds of years but then he was asleep and had the chance to had a new life which was destroyed by Rido that killed his family. It was unfair, I know. But still, It makes more sense if he dies because that´s what he has been wanting for a long time. Yuuki´s words in previous chapter clearly hint that Kaname is tired. He clearly thinks that he should lend a hand to hunters by becoming a weapon like the ancestress, but mostly, he is doing it because he wants to.

Now I do not wish Kaname to die, in fact I stated before that I think its ridiculous. If he swore to live with Yuuki to the eternity, since only a pureblood is able to live that long, he should keep his promise. He should give himself a chance to be happy forever and to make her happy too.

Sure he has been lonely and suffering for much more time than Zero but there is a difference: Zero was not indirectly responsible for his family´s death, in fact, Zero PROTECTED his family (Yuuki) while Kaname was the responsible for the murder of Zero´s family, so why the hell would Zero "sacrifice himself to convey he hates neither Kaname or Yuuki"?!!! Zero did more good to Kaname than Kaname ever did to him, so at the end, he would still die for him?!!! What is the sense in that?

One thing is Zero dying to protect Yuuki, now If Zero tried to die for Kaname that would make him a stupid character plus would you die to protect the accomplice of the one who murdered your parents? I wouldnt. Even if that guy was a good person and mostly not after "raising" his sister. Zero has done good enough already and Zero also helped a lot of humans by killing Level-E.

Zero took Yuuki under his protection and if he wanted to payback, he would do the same as Kaname and when Yuuki was hurt, simply watch her die without helping her. Kaname does not know the pain of losing the most important person to you in the world, for he, thanks to Zero did not lose his sister, but Zero LOST HIS TWIN BROTHER. guess who was involved again That surely is more painful than losing a thousand ancestresses. Kaname watched the people he loved being killed but never had to help taking their lives like Zero, who had to suck the blood of his dying brother in his arms and carrying that burden forever. THAT I call painful and it can be more painful than having hundreds of years of humans badmouthing you and expelling you from their villages.

Kaname´s parents and the ancestress had a clean, painless death. Zero´s parents were murdered in front of his eyes, he was bitten to become what he hated the most and he had his brother dying slowly in a pool of blood agonizing in his arms. Kaname also does not know that feeling.

So in the end I would say that Kaname´s suffering never was and it will never be bigger than Zero´s, sorry. At best, they´re equal...

and what Yuuki bitch does in the day of Ichiru´s death? Leaves with her lover, leaving her best friend with his dead brother in his arms alone in the moment he needed her the most

If the three of them survive fine. If not, Zero MUST live. He is 18 years old, Kaname lived thousands. Ok he suffered hundreds, true, and its not fair, but it was not Zero who caused his misfortune, while Kaname is greatly responsible for Zero´s misfortune. Kaname helped humans? yes he did and they were monsters to him. But he never helped Zero, only harmed him, he harmed in the worst way the only human who always protected his most treasured person...is that a way to say "thanks?"

Its like you have two persons in a room that survived a massacre and then you say "kill the grandchild because his grandfather suffered all his life, so let the grandpa live and the child atone for hating the grandpa. Aleluia".

What makes you think that "Vampire Knight" is Kaname? Kaname has been portrayed as "king" since the very beggining while Zero has been portrayed as the "knight" of the "king and queen" who exists to protect them, like in chess, Kaname´s favorite game. VK´s last volume cover features Zero and Yuuki...isnt it Zero who is the knight? not to mention the hints during the manga:

Knight in chess is represented by the horse. We see Zero in the first chapters always with his horse Lily. We see Kaname´s official drawings with him always holding the "king" piece of chess & Zero wearing chains in his neck that greatly resemble a horse´s curb chains. It makes more sense to me that Zero is the Vampire Knight and if not, then Matsuri Hino is a great troll...

Anyway, nothing in this manga makes sense anymore, for  LONG long time.

Yuuki is the one who should die for being so useless, indecisive, bratty, arrogant and being protected by two men during 18+ volumes.

EDIT: And Now that I finally read the translated chapter it is very clear that Kaname is tired of living. Completely obvious, really.

IA about Zero being the Knight, and if he dies I'm going to be really, really disappointed but at this moment in time knowing Hino's love for twists I think it is possible it might happen. I also agree that Zero has suffered just as much as Kaname -  I feel like Zero's suffered more but that's probably me being biased because Zero is my favorite character in the series. I find Kaname to be an intriguing character but at the same time I often find it difficult to really like him because of the way he manipulates others, the feeling I have towards him is more often pity. I especially feel sorry for him in this chapter because as you said, Kaname is tired of living. It seems a lot of people didn't like this chapter and I get why because everyone is tired of Hino's endless triangle but I really liked seeing Zero get over his hatred for purebloods because of his feelings for Yuuki. Even though I think Zero's hatred is very understandable given everything that has happened to him, he also does need to let go of that hatred. I still think the series could easily be either Yume or Zeki in the end. All through the series Yuuki has clearly had feelings for both guys, which is exactly what has frustrated many readers, but I think that has always been Hino's point, that Yuuki is in love with both of them - most readers just don't want to accept this because they want to see their ship as the only one in the series. The real unfortunate thing is that Yuuki's characterization has suffered and she has ended up being an unlikable heroine to many ---  I hope in Hino's next manga she is more careful about how she treats her heroine.

I think Hino has always said this was going to be a tragic story so if that is really the case I think that either Zero or Kaname will die, and then we will probably see Yuuki happy with whoever lives + I am sure there will be a moment indicating she did love the other guy too and will always remember him and his sacrifice.

Personally I'd rather Zero move on from Yuuki but seeing as he has been in love with her the whole series it'd be a bit ridiculous at this point in the story to suddenly pair him up with anyone else.

Very nice chapter!

The scene that Isaya took Yuuki away from Kaname was very hearbreaking.

anyways.I'm happy that Zero got his memory back and the fact that he is changing his opinion about PBs.Maybe he'll reach unconditional love like Kaname and Yuuki have.

I'm pretty sure that Kaname won't become the next sacrifice cause more anti-vampire weapons isn't the answer. The answer is in Yuuki's hand and I can't wait to see what happens at the end.^-^

Finally, chapter 91. And still, another questions about how will the story goes next until the end of the chapter..

The scene where Isaya took Yuuki from Kaname was very sad and heartbreaking. Honestly I didn't want Kaname to die and become the new parent metal, he deserves happiness too.

I'm glad to see Zero could change his opinions about purebloods (and join forces with Kaname) and I'm happy to know that Zero get his memories back and still loves Yuuki, remembering that he wants to protect her all this time.

Based from Hino's previous works, she had always wrote about stories with happy endings with the couple pairing always the same from the beginning of the story until the end. Eventhough there's a love triangle, it's only just an add on for the story plot. Whereas in VK from the very beginning we already have two possible pairings (Yume & Zeki) which we already known as the story goes with it's plot twists and unexpected story development, changing from one side to another..

So now I don't know what to expect anymore on how this story will end, whether it will be a happy or sad ending, since there have been a lot of plot twists going, and there's only 2 chapters left to the end the story. Anything is possible now..

And last time I heard that with only few chapters left, Hino is going to make a real bloody ending for VK.. ( ;___; ) I wish it's just a rumor since I want to see a good ending on VK..

Personally, I really want to see Yuuki x Kaname ending, as I already liked the couple (and have always favor Kaname) since the beginning of the story. Kaname and Yuuki have a really strong and deep bonds, considering Kaname's unconditional and undying feelings for Yuuki too.. They deserve each other..

However, I really want Zero to be happy too after all he's been through.
