The chapter was very good, but in the end nothing new was revealed... the things I wanted to see the most were not shown at all. I mean I wanted to see the faces all of those almighty night class students would make when they learn that Yuuki was of Kuran bloodline :D... well, seems like I'll have to wait, but I'm not givin' up :D.
Btw looks like I'm one of the few Kaname X Yuuki fans here. I really do not understand why people would prefer Zero over Kaname. Just think about it: (no offence, all IMHO of course, I'm just portraying my feelings about particular characters :D)
Zero:
Pros: Told her, he'd protect her and so far has managed to keep his promise (even if only so-so :D)
Cons: EMO kid whose only purpose in life is destroying vampires. Never actually told Yuki that he likes her nor has done anything useful for her (most of the trouble she's gotten herself into were caused by him anyways, so it doesn't count as being useful :D) , instead drank her blood like it was granted for sure and even sulked when found out her true identity as vampire pureblood princess. Moreover he doesn't seem to like her that much at all (even if he does, it ain't got no meaning if he doesn't actually tell her that he likes her). Next thing is the fact that he's a human-vampire, meaning he'll eventually turn into a monster resulting in his elimination. In better case he'd just die (as mentioned in the manga, human-vampires have much shorter lifespan than noble-class vampires, not mentioning the purebloods who are almost immortal). So in the end after some time, they'd have to part with each other anyways, so in the end all she'll be left with is grief and sorrow (do you seriously want her to go through that?).
Kaname:
Pros: Pureblood, meaning that he could stay with her forever (in case neither of them gets killed), could protect her better, and could secure her a comfortable and safe life-style (after things with Shiki, err... I mean the other Kuran get cleaned up... :D... I mean... could you imagine the mess she'd get herself into if other vampires found out that their pure-blooded princess is goin' out with some human-vampire-hunter boy?...). Moreover Kaname is open about his affection towards her and determined to do anything in his power to protect her. On the other side even if Zero told her he loves her, she'll never become his raison d'etre while (from my perspective) Kaname considers her to be it. He always cared for her from when she was a little child 'till now, and has loved her for all that time as much as she has loved him. They seem to me like a better match than she and Zero.
Cons: Incest... errr... I mean they are siblings. On the other hand it was said that sibling marriages are nothing out of place amongst pureblood vampires (on the contrary, as mentioned above during middle-ages it was quite common amongst royalty and noble bloodlines to marry into one's own family to keep the bloodline 'clean').
Well, in the end, the choice is not ours to make, but even so seeing how many Zero X Yuuki fans are out there I'm afraid that the minority of us Kaname X Yuki fans have little chance to see our dream come true :D.
