Thorfinn still on his no weapons motto, can't say about others but I don't see him changing his stand ever. A bit expected most of them going on with Ivar's approach cuz men really love wars. Though to be honest I'm kinda leaning towards his ideology too, as you never know when Lnu's have an overnight mood change and bam next day you know what.

Thorfinn will probably go back on the no weapons motto. When the inevitable conflict with the natives happens as a climax to the series. Although maybe a civil war among the settlers with the natives involved might be the climax. Either way Thorfinns extreme pacifism wont work.

To bear arms or not to, that is the debate. Unfair advantage making it a vote when you have way more men than women.

But personally, I would make an armory and lock it, making it a last resort solution. If people want to train on their free time they can use wooden swords/sticks, but no swords or weapons allowed unless they’re needed to react to an attack. I’m not sure where they’ll find all of the materials right away to make weapons though. Thorfinn needs to compromise with his group, he can remain a pacifist and not pick up a sword/daggers if he chooses to. Although conflict with the first nation is inevitable.

Full on pacifism has been shown not to work, even in 2022. A middle ground is possible where you can have weapons but only use them as an absolute last resort. Neither side is fully right here.

I absolutely agree with the men here. You can imagine a ‘no war’ utopia it will never happen. The women can make fun of them all they want but in the end of the day, it’s men that protect them if shit goes down. The Lnu’s are also showing suspicion with the Norsemen but yeah, Thorfinn is not wrong in negotiating for some sort of peace treaty (but we all know how that ends up later on…)

Yeah, at least have an armory. Thorfinn and his supporters are just setting them for one-sided slaughter. I think that's where this battle of ideals will ultimately go, realizing that no extreme stance can hold for long (pacifism vs. warmongering, for example)

ps. Cordelia is the worst addition to the cast, second only to the monkey man we don't talk about

I'm on the edge of my seat to see how far this kettle will whistle and whether Thorfinn will ever flex a bit of his strength to those guys.
