Vinland Saga Chapter 138 Discussion

Gram has really lessened my enjoyment of what was until recently, my favorite manga. Like I've mentioned before, he feels like he wandered in from some battle shounen manga were he played the cartoon villain role. I really hope he exits the proceedings after this arc is over.

No way in hell Thorkell is going to accept, he's in beast mode. Garm vs him would be cool, tho.

Thorkell vs Garm would be godly. I just wonder what will Thorfinn do when he sees Floki again...

i thought that he would've put up a bit of a fight when he was about to be seized, but nope

Well, actually I see him more as Thorkell 2.0..

Beside that, I love what he said at the end of this chapter..

I disagree. Just because he has childish like tendencies doesn't necesseraly mean he's bad character. I actualy want more of him, he's like a Joker in a way, i wouldn' say exactly evil, but chaotic for sure.

You're spot on. Gram seems to be there so that the cool kids can get something to cheer for too. I thought that we were past this after having the big farming arc and focusing on the inner journey of Thorfinn.

I can't only hope that we get to see the "fleshing out" part of Garm in the near future .

Was a good chapter, I know not many find Garm interesting but I have faith that the author will develop him more and give him depth sooner or later. Yukimura isn't the type to just introduce a villain for the sake of being evil. His fighting style is pretty dope and OP though, can't wait to see how his fight with Thorkell plays out.
