Indeed. The farming arc is actually shown to be indispensable now besides the obvious development of Thorfinn as a person.



I wonder why that geezer so badly needed an alliance with Leif that he would marry his son with a girl like that.

                        The laws sure is tough in their country. Glad the punishment wasn't that harsh I guess this time since some others sympathize with him.



I'm curious how this contract talk will go.

I am now starting to feel that Yukimura does indeed have everything planned out. I still don't think he had planned the huge change in pace after the prologue arc from the start but at least he's not making things up as he's going on.

Now I hope more people will come to appreciate the Ketil Farm arc. Yukimura really planned ahead.



Halfdan is such an impressive, multi-dimensional character, another testament to Yukimura's talent. I still don't like the incident with the slave from the flashback, but I somewhat agree that sometimes, the troubles that people find themselves in are a result of their own mistakes. And wow, that story about the man who chose his pride over his own family.

potentially the greatest character Arc I've ever come across there wasn't a single part of the story I didn't love. The characters are amazing the story is just as good, Vinland saga is a genuine master piece.

Hmm he probably just wants to gauge out Thorfinn but at least the farm arc wasn't a waste
