Vinland Saga Chapter 75 Discussion

Leif is here too? o shit waddup

And now the plot thickens! I'm in love with this arc despite what people say about "farmland saga". It's way more interesting than before with just the fighting, and something awesome is about to happen! I can't wait 'till everyone meets, and I hope that thorfinn meets the runaway slave...I hope he ends up fighting him to protect the farm or his friend or something^^

Eh, I didn't like the modern hairstyle and attitude the author gave that dude, takes me out of the manga.  :|

New chapter in the morning is the best way to start a day, and as much as I wanted to see a confrontation between Canute and Thorfinn, now I hope that Leif will find him first. I wonder how are Ylfa and Helga doing, it's about time for Thorfinn to check up on them. As always, loved it and I can't wait for the next chapter!

I liked seeing Leif at the end, and seeing Canute, but I wanted to know more about that slave who looks like Thorfinn, I was only thinking about him the last two months, that's a shame =/

I find it really interesting how Yukimura sensei introduced two new characters in those last two chapters that mirror both the old Thorfinn and the old Canute!



In chapter 74 we have a berserker slave breaking free from his imprisonment by killing his owners, similar to what Thorfinn promised the young female slave in the second chapter.



Now Prince Canute's sister Estrid is introduced, looking almost exactly like Canute when we first met him. Similar to the old Canute, she's not too thrilled about fighting, not understanding the need for it and also worrying.



If you think about it, it's actually quite genius how he set those characters up in the story and made them clash with our former assumptions of how the characters would act in these scenarios; demonstrating the growth in character and how the events with Askeladd have shaped both.

That's one way to have two people, that need to meet in order to furthen the plot, meet eachother.

Things are finally beginning to connect once more



Canute wants control of farmlands, so i think the Ketil farm is definitely his first choice, and i guess thats where he will meet Thorfinn again

But great to see Leif again.
