Yeah I don't Think Leif realizes that Thorfinn is a completely different person now... And I just realized but Thorfinn is actually extremely unstable like for instance, what will he do when he finally does kill Askeladd, I doubt he will go back home.
fanty said: I'm actually wondering why Leif is so surprised about Thorfinn being different than he was when he was a child... A lot of teenagers are like Thorfinn
The adolescence phenomene didn't exist back then, probably.
The worst part of Thorfinn I think is that he seems to ignore the existence of his mother and sister, thinking only that his father was worth his attention...
Funny thing, I never thought that Canute was a female in this chapter. When he got shot, I was too busy wondering if he was gonna die to register the victim's gender, then I started to notice his chest looked sorta funny... but then realized it was a double almost instantly. I actually laugjed out loud for a bit because of all of the people who probably got fooled for a second there.
I enjoyed that conversation between Thorfinn and Leif, but he's got to except that Thorfinn his hellbent on revenge. Nice bait & switch by Askladd and company, the plot thickens.
"I always suspected the royal highness was female" Lol!
I was really fooled for a moment that Canute is female, but then I thought "Wait, that's impossible, they better have a plausible explanation for this.. oh it's a double, yep that's the most satisfying explanation for this" lol
