Popular Reviews
My main issue isn't with the manga itself but rather with whoever was responsible for quality control on the scanslation. The text can be quite irritating at times because it seems no one realized that sentences like "What's a rude guy!" look a bit strange. Anyway, let's move on to the actual review.
Story: At its heart, it's standard shoujo manga material. However, there's enough comedy added in to keep things interesting and fulfilling their purpose. There are a few surprises, and as expected, you'll probably want to punch most of the male characters for being complete idiots. But it kept me reading until the end, and I'm not even someone who's "supposed" to enjoy this type of thing. :p I'll admit—I even cried during a couple of parts... but don't call me a girly-man... they were manly tears of... uhm... GAR and vinegar or something. <_<
Art: It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptional either. I didn't care much for "pretty Rin" or most of the other attractive characters, but that's just personal preference and has nothing to do with the art itself. I will say it had a strong Ouran vibe during the serious moments. Just art-wise, that's what came to mind. Rin looks a lot like Haruhi did with long hair.
Character: I almost covered this in the art section. From a design perspective, I liked the characters (even the ones I disliked due to their personalities). Moving away from the art aspect, each character has their own distinct personality, which is what makes good characters stand out. Rin, on the other hand, is cute. She's cute when dressed as a guy, cute when acting normal, and even cute in "pretty mode," although I prefer Normal Rin over Pretty Rin (in my opinion). This is somewhat unsettling since she's supposed to be fourteen throughout most of this. -_-;; Of course, the intended audience (as a majority) wouldn't have this issue... unless they fancied Tora... and then they'd face the same problem...
The other two scoring categories can't really be reviewed since Overall isn't a real category, and Enjoyment is entirely subjective. So I guess that concludes this review.
I’ve seen the author roasting people as well and it’s just really childish lmao I can tell why he writes stories like this
