I'm not entirely sure why this particular yaoi hasn't resonated with many people. However, it's a story that I've cherished since my younger days and continue to revisit occasionally. The narrative brought me to tears the first time I encountered it, and overall, it was incredibly sweet.

I rate the characters a 9 because their appearances might deter some readers. I understand why—Hime looks feminine, and Nao resembles a small child. But if you keep in mind that they're high school students and look past their physical traits, it becomes more acceptable.

The storyline is profound and contains mature themes, so I wouldn't recommend it for younger audiences. It also has psychological undertones, which you'll only grasp by reading it yourself. I prefer not to divulge spoilers because the story unfolds beautifully, and I enjoyed it till the end. Spoilers would only mar the experience.

The artwork is stunning; the manga is beautifully illustrated. Despite Hime's feminine appearance, his masculine features are subtly depicted—a challenging concept to portray effectively. Nao, too, is adorable, though he appears child-like, his personality reflects maturity.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this to others as the story is deeply heartwarming. The ending never fails to bring a smile to my face every time I read it. While it may not appeal to everyone, it's always wise not to judge a book by its cover.

This series in one word: Terrible.
Sorry, but the summary isn't particularly thrilling, and the story itself is even more nonsensical! Iori—the seme—looks feminine and happens to be a cross-dresser, which somehow diminishes his supposed attractiveness due to how uninspired his character is. As for the uke, Naoto, he's incredibly irritating. Like so many other overused manga tropes, he refuses to acknowledge his feelings for the other person until the very end. He comes across as weak-willed, and despite being in the same grade and class as Iori, his childish appearance gives the manga an unsettling shota-like vibe. To put it nicely, he looks like a 9-year-old!

If you're someone who craves steamy yaoi scenes in every chapter and don't mind a lack of plot development, then "April 4" might suit your taste.

However, if you, like me, find casual sex scenes bothersome when they overshadow a story that makes absolutely no sense, take my advice and skip this one. Instead, try reading a yaoi manga that I recommend...
