After graduating from high school, Meng Yingying, who suffered from a recurring heart condition, suddenly found herself transmigrated into the novel “Moon Rises Over the Tianshan.”
At first, she thought things would unfold like every other transmigration story — where the plot stays the same as the original book.

“Tomorrow, I’ll definitely kill you,” he’d say.
Meng Yingying feared death.
In this world, no one cared if a little cannon-fodder character like her lived or died.
Every day, she lived in constant fear.
One day, Meng Yingying was injured and attacked by a vengeful spirit. She had no strength to fight back — so she stopped struggling and accepted her fate.
But Shang Mang appeared, dispersed the ghost with a flick of his hand, and said to her:
“As long as I’m here, no one can kill you.”
After that, she realized — she wasn’t afraid of him anymore.
Shang Mang knew that Meng Yingying had always wanted to return home — to the world she truly belonged to.
So, in the end, he sent her back.
She had once wanted only to live an ordinary life, to die a quiet, simple death —
but because of this transmigration, her life changed forever.
One longed for death.
One fought to live.
