In the outskirts of Seoul, within the territory of the Yarkiy Lineage, 14-year-old Aster lived a solitary life. Abandoned by his parents at the age of four, he only remembered their fleeting backs disappearing into the darkness. This painful past left Aster feeling lost and aimless, with his future seeming like nothing more than growing old and dying.

Aster's daily routine involved crafting handmade dolls and selling them on the street from his small apartment-turned-shop. However, his life was further complicated by a terminal illness. Whenever he overexerted himself, his heart would race uncontrollably, triggering mini heart attacks that left him collapsed and helpless.

Despite his bleak outlook, Aster yearned for something more. That's when the inexplicable happened.

One day, seven black cathedrals appeared simultaneously in major cities around the world: Seoul, New York, Moscow, Mumbai, Beijing, Paris, and London. The phenomenon sent shockwaves globally.

As Aster struggled to comprehend this mysterious event, a stranger appeared before him, claiming to be his uncle. This sudden arrival raised more questions than answers: Who was this man? How was he connected to Aster's parents? And what did he want from Aster?

With his life on the cusp of transformation, Aster's desperation for purpose was about to collide with an uncertain destiny.
