Slay Online, a violent life-like fantasy MMORPG.
Originally created by a rogue scientist, it was an illegal game. No governments could find the game servers to shut it down - but soon enough, it became an underground sensation.

Everyone was playing it in secret.

Eventually, Slay Online was legalised, and people found you could send your consciousness, your own soul, into the game - leaving your body behind.

Kai was one of these people, a terminally ill patient, suffering from an incurable disease. He was a nobody, an orphan dying in a hospital with no one who cared about him. The doctors wanted his body for research, so they decided to send him into the game.

So far, Kai\'s life was one of suffering. It was an endless cycle of running from his bullies and getting beaten up; pushed down at every turn.
And his suffering would not end.

Before Kai could send his soul in, an in-game countdown started.
No one knew what would happen when the countdown ended, and the doctors temporarily weren\'t allowed to send him into the game; all he could do was wait as he squirmed from the pain in his body, lying in the hospitals VR capsule.

Will he let his new life beat him down again? Will he become another punching bag?
