When disaster struck, Ling Mo knew that the kinds of zombies depicted in doomsday movies would in fact, be totally different from reality…
Normally, the most important thing to do during the end of the world is to survive, but when Ling Mo picked up his girlfriend from an abandoned bus, the trajectory of his life had gone completely out of control.
The cause of this was very simple. His girlfriend, mutated…
Wait, Shana, that sickle in your hand looks like its being pointed at my pants!
Senior sister! Stop trying to pounce on me the moment I’m distracted!
And little girl, is it really alright for you to just hide by my side and laugh?
Lastly…all of you, stop trying to bite me…ahhh!!!

His unique power holds potential to aid in reclaiming the world, but he consistently puts himself first, which becomes frustrating over time. He even encounters another woman who he claims to want to 'help,' yet her retained lucidity hinders his control. Instead of seeing this as a positive attribute, he perceives it as a hindrance.
Initially, the character seemed more balanced, but now his arrogance and self-importance are excessive. I find myself wishing for a moment of reality check, like a wake-up call, to humble him.
1. The protagonist's slightly unaware madness, dissection of corpses, and unconventional love interest in zombies make for an intriguing dynamic.
2. The superpowers are both captivating and well-explained, adding depth to the story.
3. The evolving zombie scenario creates a rich backdrop, offering diverse storylines and thrilling action sequences.
4. The MC and their companions don't pursue a futile quest to save everyone, which keeps the narrative grounded and realistic.
5. The romantic involvement with zombies ensures that the story stays firmly rooted in the apocalypse, preventing a lull in the human element.
Honestly, I'm curious about how the story concludes, what becomes of the world, and the characters' fates. While it's not without its flaws, I've genuinely enjoyed the journey so far.
The only remotely engaging aspects were the zombie hierarchy progression and the world-building, but these didn't compensate for the unbearable nature of the MC's presence. In summary, if you enjoy stories that disregard moral complexities and have no standards for character growth, you might find this entertaining. However, if you prefer a higher quality reading experience, I suggest exploring other options.
If ever I have some spare time, I might push through and read up to the latest release, then provide a more current review.
This inconsistency becomes frustrating when the author later changes the rules, stating that only mutated zombies have the gels and that they evolved from consuming brains, contradicting the initial explanation. I double-checked the early chapters, but the description remains the same regarding the girlfriend's gel acquisition from regular zombies. It's baffling why the author didn't explore this method further.
Furthermore, the power system feels abstract and lacks clear progression, with underwhelming fight scenes. Given the focus on the "weak to strong" genre, this inconsistency and the unsatisfactory pacing make the novel fall short in this aspect. As for ecchi content, while it's not pornographic, I've seen spoilers suggesting that the first sexual encounter won't happen until around chapter 120-130, leaving the majority of the story focusing on the power progression, which has already been disappointing in the first hundred chapters.
