I genuinely adore the series; it captured my interest from the very start and offers a satisfying reading experience. Hoxionia's translation is exceptional and consistent throughout. The world构建 is intriguing, and I appreciate the well-paced storytelling. I highly recommend giving the initial chapters a try to see if it aligns with your taste!

The story initially starts strong, with a protagonist possessing a cool power and a clear objective. This stands out compared to other main characters. However, the character's development takes a downward turn; he becomes increasingly lecherous and self-focused, seemingly losing empathy. While I understand the survival instinct during an apocalypse, his priorities shift from genuinely assisting his love interest (or crush) in regaining her mental stability to solely seeking personal gain and control.

His unique power holds potential to aid in reclaiming the world, but he consistently puts himself first, which becomes frustrating over time. He even encounters another woman who he claims to want to 'help,' yet her retained lucidity hinders his control. Instead of seeing this as a positive attribute, he perceives it as a hindrance.

Initially, the character seemed more balanced, but now his arrogance and self-importance are excessive. I find myself wishing for a moment of reality check, like a wake-up call, to humble him.

Well, it's been almost six months since the last chapter dropped, and I'm still checking for updates every now and then. So I must admit, I've developed a fondness for this series. Here's why:

    1. The protagonist's slightly unaware madness, dissection of corpses, and unconventional love interest in zombies make for an intriguing dynamic.
    2. The superpowers are both captivating and well-explained, adding depth to the story.
    3. The evolving zombie scenario creates a rich backdrop, offering diverse storylines and thrilling action sequences.
    4. The MC and their companions don't pursue a futile quest to save everyone, which keeps the narrative grounded and realistic.
    5. The romantic involvement with zombies ensures that the story stays firmly rooted in the apocalypse, preventing a lull in the human element.

Honestly, I'm curious about how the story concludes, what becomes of the world, and the characters' fates. While it's not without its flaws, I've genuinely enjoyed the journey so far.

I read this book a considerable time ago, around two years back. I managed to read up until almost chapter 200, but eventually, I couldn't endure it any longer. The story is essentially a typical Chinese edgelord narrative, with the main character (MC) being a psychopath who's willing to kill over trivial matters. Supporting characters are generally uninteresting, serving as either comedic incompetence or mere filler for the harem plot.

The only remotely engaging aspects were the zombie hierarchy progression and the world-building, but these didn't compensate for the unbearable nature of the MC's presence. In summary, if you enjoy stories that disregard moral complexities and have no standards for character growth, you might find this entertaining. However, if you prefer a higher quality reading experience, I suggest exploring other options.

If ever I have some spare time, I might push through and read up to the latest release, then provide a more current review.

This is a compelling read despite its familiar plot, elevated by a clever twist that sets it apart. Currently, I'm giving it a solid 5-star rating, but that could potentially change based on the narrative's progression. For those who enjoy Zombie Apocalypse stories with elements of character development and power-ups, I believe this concept would resonate. Give it a try – I think you'll find it engaging.

The 18+ zombie story is quite impressive. Typically, novels with similar initial setups tend to fall flat, but this one stands out. The protagonist has a touch of craziness, yet the author handles it well, maintaining their sanity, injecting humor, and avoiding excessive selfishness. The supporting characters are multi-dimensional, adding depth to the narrative. Although there's eventually mature content, it's not the central theme. My suggestion would be for the main character to exhibit more strategic thinking; their long-term plan seems stagnant since the beginning.

I'm really enjoying the story despite it being set in a typical post-apocalyptic scenario where the main character gains a superpower. What sets it apart is the focus on the MC's relationships with the women in the story, which takes center stage rather than being reduced to a mere side plot of acquiring and discarding love interests (as seen in 'Gods and Devils World'). To the person who called the MC perverted, are you perhaps someone who expects an individual to remain completely celibate in such a chaotic world? The MC strikes a balance between not being overly obsessed and not living like a monk; it's refreshing to see a more realistic approach.

The novel has relatable characters and a likable main character, along with a harem theme, which I appreciate. However, my issue lies with the inadequacy of the power system. Initially, it was clearly established that all zombies possess a substance called gel that aids their evolution. The protagonist feeds this gel to his zombie girlfriend, who progresses accordingly. Then, a shift occurs, stating that advanced gels can only come from mutated zombies, which implies that the first gels were insufficient. Instead of logically gathering gels from regular zombies and enhancing one he controls, the protagonist starts actively searching for mutated ones in risky locations, despite having the means to create mutations.

This inconsistency becomes frustrating when the author later changes the rules, stating that only mutated zombies have the gels and that they evolved from consuming brains, contradicting the initial explanation. I double-checked the early chapters, but the description remains the same regarding the girlfriend's gel acquisition from regular zombies. It's baffling why the author didn't explore this method further.

Furthermore, the power system feels abstract and lacks clear progression, with underwhelming fight scenes. Given the focus on the "weak to strong" genre, this inconsistency and the unsatisfactory pacing make the novel fall short in this aspect. As for ecchi content, while it's not pornographic, I've seen spoilers suggesting that the first sexual encounter won't happen until around chapter 120-130, leaving the majority of the story focusing on the power progression, which has already been disappointing in the first hundred chapters.
