So, Ruho isn't exactly thriving in the love department until she stumbles upon the Therapy Club, which is ostensibly dedicated to aiding women with their "issues" (the interpretation of what constitutes a "problem" seems deliberately vague!). Following an unexpected and erotic back massage, she inadvertently uncovers her sexual trigger. And what a trigger it turns out to be! Any time her breast is even grazed, she goes into a state of "Maximal Arousal," which is depicted humorously and skillfully. In this state, she acts like an Amazon on speed and MUST seduce the person responsible immediately upon being triggered! Naturally, this revelation lands her in numerous predicaments, prompting the Club President to personally step in and assist the "frustrated" young woman. What unfolds is a riotous and smut-laden journey of Ruho fending off advances from him and other men, all while being powerless against her Amazon-like alter ego when she loses control!
The artwork is pure enchantment. The bishies are not overly sparkly but just handsome enough to keep you captivated. The male lead has a roguish charm that qualifies him as the resident player/bad boy with a somewhat troubled past, yet he still retains a shred of goodness deep down. He's also ambitious and charmingly kind to Ruho—when he's not unhooking her bra, that is! Meanwhile, Ruho stands as a strong protagonist who doesn't complain but takes initiative and refuses to be walked over, even if there's a half-naked hunk nearby giving her bedroom eyes! The dialogue is both tantalizing and cleverly worded where needed, and those occasional sound effects emitted by the characters include "Urya" (apparently a battle cry!) from alter ego Ruho, along with plenty of other laugh-inducing noises.
There wasn't anything especially off-putting about this manga. It was lengthy and smutty enough for devoted romance enthusiasts, palatable for feminist readers who disdain the helpless ingenue trope in shoujo manga, and visually stunning enough for art aficionados.
I wholeheartedly recommend this manga if you're in the mood for a quirky blend of romance and humor. It offers plenty of both while being swoon-worthy enough for all female readers to fully enjoy.
