I Woke Up and Got Married

Synopsis:

After waking up from a vegetative state, Chi Suinian discovers three shocking things:

First, His family has gone bankrupt.

Second, He’s married.

Third, And his spouse is none other than his long-time arch-enemy.

Just a couple of days ago, this jerk was fighting him tooth and nail, and now, in the blink of an eye, they’re married?

Chi Suinian: “…”

This is some broad daylight nightmare.

But reality is what it is, indisputable.

After waking up, Chi Suinian finds out that while his own family is bankrupt, his arch-enemy’s company is thriving. Forced by circumstances, he has no choice but to swallow his pride and ask Lu Zhiyue, his nemesis, to invest and save his life.

Unfortunately, that bastard is as despicable as ever.

In the office, Lu Zhiyue, legs crossed, shirt casually unbuttoned to his chest, looks up with a fox-like sly glint in his eyes. “You want an investment? Kiss me first.”

Chi Suinian snaps a pen in half.

As time goes on, Lu Zhiyue’s demands escalate.

Chi Suinian asks for more investment: Kiss me.

Forgets his bank card password: Kiss me.

Wants to borrow the car: Kiss me.

Forgot the keys: Kiss me…

Lu Zhiyue pulls out the keys, “No need to kiss for this one.”

Chi Suinian: “…” Screw you!

After being discharged from the hospital, Chi Suinian and Lu Zhiyue sign an agreement to not interfere with each other’s lives and to peacefully divorce in three years. Lu Zhiyue agrees. But just a few days later, Lu Zhiyue pulls Chi Suinian into bed.

Chi Suinian wakes up covered in hickeys, so angry he sees stars. “This is a sham marriage! Who the hell gave you permission to sleep with me?!”

Lu Zhiyue, eyes sleepy, shamelessly hugs his wife, “Since we’ve already slept together, how about we get married?”

Chi Suinian: ?

“Aren’t we already married?!”

Lu Zhiyue: “…”
