This story is just too slow for my tastes. I could understand if he was actually doing anything during the first 130 chapters but he really isn't.

If you're fine with slow progress and an okay story I guess this is for you.

Man it's just too slow story+the updates.

Alright, binged that in about six days. It's an eminently decent read, with the first half being a lot more fun than the second. Chapters are short, progress is slow, and the adventures are pretty hollow. The premise of cultivating disciples is pretty enjoyable, but the adventures take away from that with a full ten percent of the story so far spent on a single trip in a mystic realm. Most of which is fleeing demon beasts.

The first 500 chapters I really enjoyed, ~800-1000 really dragged for me personally. Worth checking out, but I'd hesitate to recommend it.

Does the MC have a love interest?

Nope. I think the closest he gets is where he gets teased by a woman after 1000 chapters and awkwardly clears his throat.
