Cold Sun Rising

As Henry sits in a class that feels more useless with every passing day, he cannot help but dread the future. Having avoided any major misfortunes so far and attending a fairly well-known school, he has a good life by most measures. Yet, he finds himself lost and treading water anyway. It is as though he just needs change. Luckily for him, another world is in desperate need of heroes. When 100 individuals, including Henry and his close friend Nick, find themselves in the totally alien land of Meros with supernatural abilities, they have little time to understand their new life. The 100 humans are not the only visitors to the planet. A strange but intelligent collection of monsters has set upon the magical planet, and with them comes only war. After his hope for change becomes reality in the most jarring way possible, Henry now has a new immediate purpose: survival.
