Beascension: Primal cultivation

In the early days, man was powerless against the dangerous, mystical beasts roaming the land. This changed when they discovered how to cultivate. By eating the rich meat of beasts, they could absorb essence to grow stronger and faster. And from feather, bone, and hide, they learned techniques to manipulate and use this power.

Teng lives in an isolated village that follows ancient traditions of worshiping the spirits. Hunting, eating meat, and partaking of the essence is to honor the spirits that watch over the valley. He has yet to learn what actual cultivation is, but that is all about to change.
