An Anomaly's Perspective

Hanzou Zankoku, a 16-year-old determined to be the strongest in a realm of magic and monsters, had seen something strange.

Something that seemed out of place.

Me, starving and on the verge of death, glimpsed a strange figure in my dream world. He seemed familiar, but he was someone that I had never seen.

...

\"Don\'t give up.\"

He encouraged me without context, and though I had never heard those words before, my morale improved slightly.

But, when I had lots of questions to ask, my dreamlike world started to collapse. I woke up, gasping in exhaustion as I gripped my chest tightly.

Instead of birds chirping outside my window, the first sound I heard was a bell chime.

Suddenly, a system-like window showed up in front of me.

[You are an anomaly.]

\"What?\"

[You weren\'t supposed to exist in this world today. You weren\'t supposed to interact with that person.]

\"What does this thing mean? Am I hallucinating now that I\'m about to starve?\"

[This world has a set storyline. You are a threat to the balance in this world.]

Can Hanzou survive this world, supposedly a story, all while knowing its future events? Or will he die trying trying to live in this world as an anomaly, a version of himself that wasn\'t supposed to exist?
