A MAGICIANS PEAK

I'm liking the character build up so far. 👏👏

The story has been enjoyable so far. I really like the characters and their development. The worldbuilding also seems promising, though we haven’t seen much of it yet (currently at Chapter 65). Mantis is a cool character and i hope it reaches human level inteligence by the end of the story.

So far, it's interesting. Not much has happened, but this story has potential.

So, I've decided to add footnotes to the end of each act (if need be) and to create a series of handbooks to go along with the story. There will be one for basic information, like class types, races, terminology, gameplay, etc., one for monsters, perhaps one for full character bios, and anything else that I find appropriate. I thought it would be interesting, seeing as though actual games have similar handbooks available for their players.

Ophelia's face twisted in anguish and guilt, tears already streaming down her face as she started to sob uncontrollably. "W-we should have stayed with him. If he had someone to watch his back...."

For the people who call this novel trash just because of the title "Maverick Chef" is really a narrow-minded person. You can read in the synopsis that "Bai Lu grew up in a mysterious prison, where he learnt many interesting abilities." He grew up in a PRISON! with different kinds of people that he encountered living there is enough for him to have various skills and logically can include it in the story. A person in real life can have a lot of experience and skills in various things and jobs especially if you're not a well-off person, so don't judge this book if the story is not a proper gourmet novel. This kind of story makes it more interesting because it's not just all about cooking, it also shows the background of MC.
