Anami Kotori was in the midst of doing his usual daily tasks; dragging himself from the grasp of his bed, and then partaking in the boredom known as work for the sake of even coming across as a decent man. Yet, before he knew it, his world came to an end.

Everything started with rain, small droplets dripping down from the sky. Everything ended with a gunshot, even as he won the fight, he lost the battle. Everything began with open eyes, an unknown space before him. Everything crumbled in darkness, the world around swallowing him whole.

And, naturally, an awakening brought a new life.

Before being fully aware of his situation, Kotori found himself thrust into a world of fantasy, myths, and legends. And even within all that, there was still room for magic and battle brought forth by stats. He knew naught of where he was nor of what truly awaited him. However, something became quite clear to him early on...

\"Strength makes this world run, I\'ll die if I lag even a second behind...however…\"

His inhuman golden eyes flared into determined glares.

\"I will survive to the bitter end. Even if I die, I will go out with a bang.\"

This is the simple audacious journey of The Eldritch Monarch. Will his legend be marked down within the history books for all to see? Or will he simply fall and crumble just the same as those before him?
