The Ascendant: Autumn Visage

I died in a storm of hellfire, hate and blood. I died, my eyes staring toward the sky and with my blood staining the porous, muddy ground.

But, that isn\'t where my story ended, is it? For after my \"death\" I was forced into a vicious cycle of life and death, of reincarnation and endless struggle. Of coming to terms with a world devoid of both god and meaning.

Through all of this though I still stay clutching toward the light of hope held within my heart, a light which people try to extinguish with dark, grasping hands, cold hungry eyes and vicious intent.

My name is Napoleon Battier and my story is one of coming to terms with a world devoid of meaning.

This story is based on the fiction on this site titled, \"The Ascendant: Endless Reincarnation\"

Basically, the story entails the use of a new game+ mechanic in which after the death of the mc in any one life his performance is rated, the points from which he can use to make himself stronger in the next life.

And although it is based on this story it contains none of the characters of the previous. It also contains vastly different themes. Due to the fact that it is darker than the original and more realistic whilst still holding several of the litRPG elements of the original.
