Rebound with Love

On the very first day of college, she encountered a heated exchange. Some seniors were bullying a young girl, and amidst the chaos, she heard a firm voice say, "You dare not touch her!" This unexpected intervention startled her, though she couldn't act upon her annoyance. One senior demanded, "What did you just say?" as the classmate stepped forward, positioning himself protectively in front of her. "Are you deaf?!" It surprised her that this individual, despite being a classmate, had such a commanding presence. He continued, "Don't you recognize me? I can turn your life upside down." As he grabbed her hand, ready to whisk her away from the situation, a fellow student lunged at him. She watched in fear as he fought back with an intensity she couldn't comprehend. Frozen in shock, she stood by as the altercation ended and the aggressors retreated. He, however, was visibly injured. Despite her concern, he refused medical attention, choosing instead to leave the scene. She hailed a taxi and rushed home, still clueless about his identity – she couldn't even express her gratitude.
