While his soul is wandering in the dimension of life and death his soul was summoned by the Demon King from the world. the reason he was summoned was to save the Demon Race from total extinction because the humans had invaded their continent. They were overwhelmed despite their advantage of higher magic because the Dragons are on the side of the humans. Now that the Demon race is nearly extinct, it is up to the summoned being to save them. but something unexpected happened.

    Half eye motioned mentioned the two trainees to leave, and by the time he was done emptying the room, only Kan and Kyera remained. Talis's vibrant skin was reduced to porcelain white, his cheeks reddened and lips pink as though kissed with the little blood still left in his body. She could feel him, his energy moving frantically but methodically over him trying to heal the broken body. A bandage over his neck hid most its handy work. There were smaller glowing areas, where he tried to heal the cuts from Verone's claws. If it had not been for his tiger form, Talis would have been beheaded by the throat wound alone.

    From Sasha's experience during his stay in the Mages' Tower's territory, this magic academy served the same purpose. It was just a means for the Mages' Tower to maintain their monopoly of mages. As for the actual knowledge imparted, while they were of high quality, it didn't mean that the academy was the only place to get it.
