Flags of Rebellion

The preliminary has begun. Portals through time and space manifested themselves throughout the unsuspecting world, six at a time. There are a total of 80, spanning the entire history of mankind from the era long forgotten to the modern conflict of the Great War and after. Heroes of old once walked the Earth, challenging the heaven and banishing demons, could only be found in the past. It is up the champions to find those heroes and make a contract so that they would arise once more, transcending their bygone era and mortality to challenge fate and turn the tides of destiny.

This is the tale of Joan of Arc, nicknamed the Maid of Orléans, the once heroine of France. She was betrayed by those she had fought for, burnt and condemned as a heretic. Since the gate of heaven was locked, her soul was trapped in the eternal Abyss. The God she believed in was actually long dead and with that knowledge, so was her faith. The shining white flag she carried into battle, inspiring men and women alike had turned pitch black. It now strikes absolute terror into all mortals alike. It is the flags of rebellion, her rebellion.
